After almost a year of testing, the new "Lightning" chassis from Leading Edge is finally ready. We have put alot of time and work into a new design that has a few more adjustments than the "Edge" but not too many as to confuse racers with more settings than needed. Like the "Edge" this one is sure to be a winner. You can check it out on the website.

I remember last year when the prototype of this car ran. It proved to be very fast. Dave is always making a step in the correct direction. The lightning will be a strong force this year in oval.

After getting a new Lightning on Friday, Dominic Reese picked up a win in 19 turn at Stout Field in Indy Saturday night.

Thanks Dave. I got mine all together and body mounted and painted. I hope I get my Gtb speedo before saturday. If not i'll have to use the ss brushless speedo. Did Jamie get a lighting yet?

I seen Dominic run saturday and his car Lightning do look very good

and it was just put together that day
wait until he gets it totally worked out ...........

The track sure has been slow for the past 3 weeks. After racing was over I did notice a small groove starting to form. Won't be long now!

I sure do have my eye on one of these Lightning's for a second or 3rd car. Are they readilly available?

Last night was another win for Leading Edge....
with the new car (Lightning) making on the scene and showing it's way to the top where the EDGE car is already.
At stout field in Indy
there where 7 guys running 19 turn some first time running 19 turn and others have been racing 19 turn for awhile.

Dominic Reece running the new Lightning car TQ'ed
his car is looking very good for only been on the track for 4 heats and 2 mains

LE qualified 1,2,3, and your's truley not getting around the track very good in heats qualifying 6th .....nice

After the tune went off i was gone from 6th to 3rd in about 5 laps
then after 1st and 2nd got together i found myself in the lead and never looked back

I was running the EDGE car (still getting the Lightning car track time ) was getting better every run.

so yes LE took 1st and 2nd for sure can't remember who finished where

I was also running LE Edge and qualified 4th and ended up 4th in the main. I was pretty pleased for first time out ever in 4 cell from busch. Maybe I can learn how this 19t motor works before next time and give you a run for your money.....or not :)

I ran my LIGHTNING car for the first time this year and ......................

wow a very good car

very smooth and plenty of steering
doesn't over do it with adjustments, but does have some to do whatever you want to do to make the car run for you.

I finished 2nd in A main 19 turn just 1 sec behind the leader
i only ran the car in the 3rd heat (because the EDGE car just wan't doing what i wanted it to do ) so I put the LIGHTNING car down and picked up 2 laps and qualified 4th.
I wish i would have put it on the track sooner.

If you have been looking into getting a Lightning car, but was waiting
the wait is over

pick one up and you well be happy with the track performance.

Had my Lightning at the track Sat. night at Summit......I like it!!

Left the track feeling pretty good about this year in 4 cell stock. LAst year I ran a different car and really struggled. Never seen any fast laps till mid season....this year first night out with new LIGHTNING.....seen consistent 4.1's at the start of the run, but batteries were junk and the lap times fell off drasticly.....guess that is what happens when you run on old stuff!!!


Gonna make some changes for next week and see what happens!!!

with this car you don't need it
it has enough steering going in the thurn and coming out of the trun.

and with the changes you can make to this chassis

Jason congrats on the run in Cincy but wish you could have been at the barn to give the Hoaglin's some competition. They knocked down 84 laps and probably could have hit 85 if I wasn't in the way. I was way off on gear then setup, I guess I should have asked you but had only planned on running busch.

I also missed the setup on this for the main being extremely tight and having to get out the gas way to much to get it to turn in the center. I came out 3rd with motor man dewees takin care of business,

The LE chassis is great just got to have a good wheel man to capitalize. In only my 2nd year I will take what I can get :)

I saw the Hoaligens ran 84 and that is good

I think that beats my track record in 4 cell stock.

They only take track records from the A mains

I ran 86 in qualifing and 83 in main for the old record with 8 cars in the main.

Going to summit this saturday from some 4 cell stock action if you wanted to come up
