I couldn't find the thread, somebody posted they missed the first episode and it wasn't scheduled to be repeated. It'll be shown again tonight followed by a new episode starting at 8pm Eastern!

Wow. Sharks with logos on their tails?
Yet another (stuffed) Polar Bear for Walt?
Freaky.

Yeah, the network's "all will be revealed" promo blitz turned out to be a little dishonest.

Glad you posted that, I thought I saw a brand or trademark on the shark in one of the underwater shots, but wasn't 100% sure.

im hooked on the show. you always end up with more questions than answers. That's what I love as well -- drives me nuts when people complain about why the show doesn't dispense with the very thing that drew them to watching it in the first place. But I suspoect we'll get answers -- but the answers raise new questions. I love it!

The problem for me right now is that the show is starting to colapse under the weight of all the unanswered questions.
I love how they keep bringing up new questions, but there are tons of them they still haven't answered.
It's starting to get to be very unsatisfying for me.
I'm still watching for a bit longer, hoping the throw us at least a few bones, but so far, it's not looking like it.

The shark had the company logo stamped on it. That same "Swan" logo that Desmond has and is on everything in that hatch.

I agree. I still enjoy it but people are gonna start dropping out before too long because they just don't care anymore. Just like the X-Files mythology. After awhile nobody is gonna give a crap. The story is so convoluted now it will take a whole season just to wrap it up. Hopefully it won't get cancelled(I view this more as a fad with no guarantee of a long run) before the questions are answered or answer everything in a rushed 2-hour finale. I'm holding off on the dvds just in case it turns out to be lame in the long run.

The problem for me right now is that the show is starting to colapse under the weight of all the unanswered questions.I don't know ... we certainly appear to have gotten a pretty big answer about some issues already this season, based on what's in the hatch. We know part of the what -- now we need the why.

I heard a few months back that the third episode of the new season -- i.e., the next new episode -- will mark a major milestone, much more so than the first two. The meaning of that statement remains to be seen. But there's tons of backstory we don't have, and the characters fascinate me at least as much as anything to do with the multiple mysteries of the island.

To rewind a little bit, did anybody watch the re-cap episode before the season premier? I noticed immediately that they 'fuzzed' out the cover of the comic book Walt was reading. I remember that episode and you can see a polar bear in a jungle setting on the cover. Now I am curious as to why they would want to blurr it out?

Also, was the candy bar that Kate ate in the bunker named "Polar"? It didn't register until the scene changed and I didn't record it.

I thought the candy bar was "Apollo". Could be wrong.

Yes, it said "Apollo".

Right on! Many thanks!

That's interesting, tho....

"Apollo" or "A Pollo"...?
Maybe there's a chicken involved somehow...
