Hey According to Howard Stern this morning,Kirsten Dunst was doing an interview and let it slip that the Villians in Spiderman 3 Will be "Sandman" and "Venom" I'm sure that seems cool to some of you but personally I'm kinda bummed,If this is true we won't be seeing the "Lizard" this time. Lizzie was always my Fave Enemy followed by Doc Ock,Ah well the films have been great so far and I'm sure this one will be awsome as well, still though IF this news is true I'm a bit disapointed.

I love the films that have been coming out lately about the heroes.

I just wish that they'd stop trying to cram in as many villians in a single movie. I didn't like this in recent batman films and I think it takes away from the character development of the villians when the movie has to be split up. Imagine trying to understand and feel for Dr. Ock if his role was cut in half to devote more time to a second villian.

If it's done properly (read, put a little bit of thought into it...), it works well.

They always have the 2 bad guys join up. Why not have a 3 way fight?

I don't like the idea of more than one villain at a time either. In my opinion it was the dimensional character development that made the original really work. I agree that two villains means less dimension for each.

And I'm with Lonfan - give us the LIZARD! The Vulture would be my second choice.

Afilmdude,

TRY saying that over at IMDB at the Spider-man 3 boards. All of the rabid idiotic teenagers there WANT Venom and Carnage....BORING. The ORIGINAL villains are what MADE spiderman....

Yeah... Even my own boys are excited about Venom.

Starting when I was a kid I collected and read most all of the first 300 issues of Amazing Spiderman. By the time Venom and Carnage came on the scene the mag had, for the most part, lost its ability to tell a compelling story. For my money - the best stories were Stan Lee's original 85 issues or so. I guess that's why I like the "old school" villains.

I like Venom Because of the Black Suit thing. But I don't think they'll incorporate
that into the movie. And they'd have to do alot of CGI on him. And from what I've heard, they got some lame guy playing him. You would need a guy bult like someone from WWE to be convincing! I heard villans are Sandman, Venom
and Harry as Hobgoblin that's what I heard over on the comics board!

The silver age Stan Lee stories were the best of all the Marvel mags. Especially the F.F. The one more recent Spidey story I got caught up in was The Clone Saga. I haven't read a comic since that storyline ended.
Whatever happened with the baby? Did Peter and Mary Jane ever find out it's alive?

It certainly wouldn't be the first time an actor leaked the wrong information ... it wouldn't be the first time an actor was on the ball.

The conventional wisdom was that Raimi really wasn't all that entralled by Venom as a villain.

My favourite rumour was that the two announced actors actually played the same villain.

If I were Raimi, I'd stick with one villain, and IF it has to be Sandman, I'd have him morph into a Venom-like creature just for a few seconds to spook Spidey and piss off the fanboyz.

I'd Herd the Very same thing from Rami himself in an Interview (About the time of Spidey 2)That He wasn't crazy about Venom but perhaps if payed enough....I sure hope ms. Dunce is wrong! lol
