I think I have a toothless tranny. Clutch is OK, engine screams but nothing but grinding sound as the truck just stays put. Definitely something wrong!!!

My problem? I can't find any info about the tmaxx (or anyother RC for that matter) transmission. Should they have fluid in the case? Are they rebuildable? I know it could also be the transfer case too. I don't have a manual as this was given to me by a friend who was tired of messing with it. I enjoy the mechanics more than the driving so it is working out nicely for my son. I am tracking down a manual but the sites I have visited are a bit unclear as to what I need. Could be I am a bit dense so any info related to this would be much appreciated.

Thanks savage 14...I don't think it could be the diffs cause the drive shafts are spinning. I did go ahead and pull the tranny apart, pretty logical for the most part, and nothing is chewed up or obviously wrong. The primary shaft seems to be engaging but the transfer to the drive shaft(s) isn't happening. All the centrifugal engagement mechanisms are loose and the springs are functioning, none of the catch pins are missing or broken.

the servo that switches it from forward to reverse isn't set right. try pushing the shift linkage in all the way.
