this dude down the street brought me a mower with a tec. engine, he said when he tries to start it it goes BANG!
it went bang, i hurt my wrist when it went bang, i said dude are you sure you want to give this to me, cuz its a 10 cent part
he said i dont want it im getting a honda :freak:
the one he gave me was purchased this spring, hes murder on mowers, i replaced the flywheel key, it tried to run, it went snap BANG
flywheel key again
replaced that, and tried to see why it sheared one in 1 second of trying to run
blade adaptor
replaced it, started it, it went BANG! tick tick tick after a few minutes
looked over to the carb side of the enigne, the valve cover was hanging on by a bolt that was getting ready to fall off
valves were sticking badly, they were dry.
some rtv and another small screw later, its running, then BANG!
i was thinking wtf?, i talked to the guy and he said its got a different brand coil on it

honda coil was causing all the trouble, one tecumseh coil from the parts bin later and another flywheel key,it it runs like new

why did i spend all day figuring this out on a tecumseh?
oh, and i needed an airfilter and a few other peices of plastic, due to the BANG!

and the engine on a nice deck too
and then again, im thinking where the heck this thhing got a honda coil from, it had one bolt holding it down

most likely tried what he called a repair, didn't know what it was and replaced it, you mean to tell me you didn't see that right off the bat? anyway's i'd stick it outside and sell it.

I'd tie a rope to it and use it for a boat anchor.

mmmm, or you could have some fun, drain the oil, remove the governor and fill the crankcase with water......fun fun.
