Hey guys I'm glad you asked why no regular weekend events. Reason is our club is opperated by racers. Myself and the other race director Shawn Wiley work weekends however once we get everything in order and we will be haveing a few weekend events. We have a strong amount of local racers so if your able to make it on a weekday I'm sure you'll be surprised with our turn out.

Travel time from other tracks by Mapquest:

From Rc Excitement Fitchburg MA 2hours 14 mins

From Rcmadenss Enfield CT 3 hours 23 minutes
(I have done this with in 3 hours and I drive like old lady on the highway)

TO:Mike Valentine
Well in the past we started at about 630-700pm and ran until about 1000pm, but that was when we were racing oval and onroad clsses the same night. I project we'll be done by 1000 pm with 3 rounds and mains with 10 minute break between heats.

To: William Willis
We will have a Touring car oval class, we run it as a 19 turn class. Several of our racers will be in this class because we have arleady established it in the past. I'm currently getting the class rules for the oval touring car class together, I'l post them probably tonight at www.cumberlandrc.com

Any others have questions? Please post them here so I can inform everyone. Thanks
Ryan

Will the track allow paragon or another equal type of tire compound?

The traction compound is still undecided. We are actually taking a pole in the forum at http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?t=122983 and http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=84720. Post what you like to use there.
Thanks

What is the size of the track and type of carpet? Will it be a replica setup of what Maximus (http://www.teammaximus.com) has for size, carpet, and pit area? In addition, any pictures posted anywhere yet?

To Anchor2:
The track is going to be 34.5 x 72 with CRC Fastrack Carpet. The track will be built on a wood sub floor. The setup will be similiar to maximus. The subfloor gives the best traction with ozite racing carpet. The building is up but we have not yet begun the track/pit area construction. The Carpet is ordered with a delivery date OCtober 13 2005, we are plannning to have everthing done other than carpet installation by the 13th. Once we get started I'll be posting pic here and at www.cumberlandrc.com

Wow!

Is that THE Racing Ralph Nason, as in former winner of the Oxford 250, that I see in the points order?

LennyDude

LOL,

No, same name though and he drives R/C just like the other Ralph drives full scale :):)

He missed a couple of weeks last season and probably would have finished at least 2nd..................

If you are planning any friday night or weekend races in the future could you post the dates and times because I would like to make some races but tuseday nights are hard when I live an hour away. Your track seems to becoming along well and looks pretty good from the pics on the site. I look foward to make some races there because I strated racing on a flat track in Bangor (closed) and have been to Maximus a couple times and always had a great day of racing.

Just a side note my home track Central Maine R/C speedway in fairfeild is going to be closing in a couple of weeks and if anyone of you could make it Dave (owner) would really appreciate it. It is a banked track and we race fridays starting at 7:00pm. It always a lot of fun, very fast, and a change because there are not many banked tracks around. You can get basic set up from almost any there to get you going around track.

My son and I look forward to visiting and racing at your new facility. We're good for at least 3 classes to race there, so a weekend date would work really well for us. As to Compouds, Paragon or Niftech work for us. Congrats on the new facility.

rcracer32: We'll have the racing schedule posted soon prob with in the next week.

rj31racing: Yes 3700 and 3800 batteries are allowed in all classes.

When is the schedule for race dates going to put up and are you going to post it here or on your website http://www.cumberlandrc.com/ ? Because weekends are the only good time for me to make it down there, being I live an hour away.
