Hi everyone,
I sucessfully cast glass on Sunday. I made a new Standard Chassis Indy body on Sunday and since I had the silicone out I decided I would try and make a simple glas mold for the Indys. I took a bathroom cup and cut it down till it was just 1" to 1.5's tall I poured the left over silicone from the body mold in the cup. I then took two pieces of American Line Willard glass and inserted them into the silicone till the bottom of the glass was even with the silicone. I then took a piece of Aurora Indy glass and did the same. I also inserted a piece of 1/43rd Indy glass but was not happy with it. The American Line and Aurora glass came out great. I am going to use the American Line glass on the slim-line Indy bodies based on the ATLAS body and the standard chassis Indy body based on a modified American Line Willard. The Aurora glass after I trim the bottom is going to be used on my standard chassis oval nose standard chassis Indy Kit.
Here is a picture of the slim-line and Indy Kit bodies with the new glass.

Here is a picture of the new Indy body I made over the weekend with glass. It still need a driver and some contingency sponsor decals. I added the long external oil tank and a new gas cap I like better. This body style is LWB where the kit is Hot Rod Wheel base. It uses the American Line Willard's chrome exhaust and will come with a driver, 3 differeny external oil tanks and glass. I am going to see if I can make a good mold of the exhaust pipe also and then attemt to make a short exhaust instead of the long one as another option

I used MicroMarks Color Cast resin. It has some verysmall air bubbles but they willl disappear if I pressure cast it. Because the glass area is so small the small air bubbles aren't that noticeable.
Having fun
