Mike has the flyer up for the race on the Steel City site. Remember, each class must have at least 5 pre-paid entries to be ran. It sounds "Hard Hearted" ;) , but in order to have the right awards for each class, he needs to know which classes will be ran. It also will allow him to start entering names in the 'puter. You can mail in your entires, use PAYPAL or pre-enter at the track, can't get any easier than that.:)

Looking forward to coming up for this race, as the saying goes "Should be a GOOD One!!"

Don't forget the Twinny Twin Twin on Friday night, it's a FUN Race for those getting in early. BTW: erock named this race..:p

Mike,

Are there any regulations on tires for the Busch class? I know that at Classic you have to run TRC Spec tires, what about this race?

JB
09-26-2005, 04:00 PM
ms31: The Busch class will run by the rules you are already running. So, yes, the TRC Spec foams are what you need.

ms31

Thanks. I had never seen the Busch class run at SCH, so I didn't know what their rules were.

Time is catching up with us, and we need you guys to get your pre-entries in so we can plan the awards. From what I have read and heard this is going to be a well attended race, but we also need to know what classes will be ran for sure. I'd hate to see Mike buy awards for a class that no one enters. It's not fair to him and it's not fair to the racers that do show up and no awards were planned because we didn't know if the class would be ran. Besides that, pre-entering saves you some $$$$, which could go towards gas, food, parts or whatever.:)

My software guy (RC Scoring Pro) says we can now have 20 cars in each heat for the Enduro race. I am pushing him to make it 30, 40, etc. This will be very interesting and fun!

Rocketman
10-13-2005, 07:15 PM
is the batteries still limited to 3300's still for the twin races ..............

JB
10-14-2005, 12:58 PM
Rocketman: Yes the battereis are limited to 3300's. Most guys have these and they won't have to use their race packs for a fun race on Friday night.

PRE-ENTRY'S: FYI: For those of you that are sending your pre-entry to ARCOR, this is a "service" that ARCOR offers the tracks and for most part takes some of the paper work off their shoulders. All pre-entry $$$ goes to the track, not to ARCOR. Some tracks do not have PAYPAL, which for some racers is the easiest way for them to pre-enter. You can also pay your pre-entry at the track before October 22nd to get the discount. If your sending in your pre-entry you can send it to ARCOR. The address is on the entry form. For those paying with PAYPAL, you can go to the ARCOR site and click on the ARCOR Extras. There is a link to PAYPAL from there. Please be sure to list the class you are running on the comment box that PAYPAL provides. Freq and Personal TX too.
See you guys in a couple of weeks, can't wait!!

I guess there has been some confusion on class weights, due to my "stupidity", just chalk it up to "age challenged". When I stated weights I was thinking of capped tires. Correct 2005-06 weight for foams (this is the new weight due to the 3800's and due to the .8 ozs pain in the neck) These weights were effective October 1st, 2005

ALL WEIGHTS ARE WITH TRANSPONDERS and will effect these classes at the SCH race:

4C SPEC NASTRUCK - 39ozs. (2lbs 7ozs)
STOCK, 19T Mod, Open Mod- 40 ozs (2lbs 7ozs)
1/12th scale 32ozs.

Busch cars will also be 40ozs.

The Tranny Class, Indy's, to be determined at SCH.

Sorry...I'll try better next time.

Got about another dozen entries coming your way. I will send them to you tomorrow soon as I scan in the "pages" of entries for the race.

We also have about 4 pre-entries for the Stadium Truck so hopefully we can find one more to make it "legal". I am thinking we will be running 19-T Modified with Foam Tires.

Have a nice weekend!

It looks like I"m not going to make it for 1/12th scale. I dont have any 19 turn Arcor motors. I'm going to save my money for the Onroad Champs. (Just bought a new plane and motor last month and the wife saw the bill. OOOPS!!!)

First, I want to THANK those that have pre-entered, your all GREAT!!! This gives Mike a general idea of what awards to order.

CLASS PRE ENTRY UPDATE:

4C SPEC NASTRUCK - 13
STOCK - 4
19T MODIFIED - 3
OPEN MODIFIED - 0
INDY CARS - 12
1/12th SCALE - 5
BUSCH -3
TRANNY TRUCKS - 7

You still have time to pre-enter and save a few $$$, plus help us out with the class count for awards.

And..just out of curiosity, because this race will be ran on Friday Night, how many are planning to run the Twinny Twinny Twin? Mike can run 20 cars with his transponder system, but many of you have personal's which means we could have a reeeeeeeeealy large class running at once. Rule for this class is simple, 27T Stock motor and 3300's or less. You guys can make 100 laps with no problem, it's all in the gearing.LOL

Mike@SteelCity
10-18-2005, 04:01 PM
It is my understanding from the programmer of RC Scoring PRo, that we can only run a total of 20 cars in a heat. That is with or without PT's. Although, I am not sure how many we can run with "Alycat" or Sparc - which we have also. Whatever happens, we will be running the race so have fun! 20 cars is still pretty cool... I hope we can add more!

THESE CLASSES ARE A GO! (Thanks to the guys who had the fortitude to pre-enter) Also, thanks to these guys, you can sign up on raceday for any of the below classes.

4C SPEC NASTRUCK
TRANNY TRUCKS (Mod motor/Lipo not allowed)
INDY
19T MODIFIED
1/12th Scale (ARCOR 19T, any batteries 3800 or less)

All we need is 5 pre-entries, this lets us know if we have a class or not for awards. Of course, if you aren't concerned with winning a plaque then, come race day, just show up..

These are the classes that need entires:

Stock-3 (Mike and I have counted the same people twice)
Open Mod - 0
Sedan Oval (SPEC)- 3- This class can be a fun class, how many of you Sedan racers think you can hack "oval"??? Great starter class using the Spec motor and 4C Spec packs!!!!!!! This should be a regualar class at any track, be it Oval or On Road.!!!

NOTE: Tranny Oval is not an ARCOR class and will go by track rules. Sedan Oval is not an ARCOR class and will go by Track rules.

Looks like I'm back in for 1/12th scale, i was offered a loaner motor. I'm pretty sure Shyniah is going to race the spec sedan class. If anyone has a spec motor I can borrow I can run spec sedan also to make a full class. I'll be down to pre-enter tomorrow or friday. (spec sedan is 4 cell and not 6 cell isn't it?)

JB, I just pre-entered for 1/12th scale and my daughter and myself for spec sedan. Do you have enough sedans to make a class?

JB
10-22-2005, 12:27 PM
Martian710: Yep, looks like the Sedan Oval is a go! This should be a fun class, especially for your daughter. Looking forward to meeting you.

mcRacing: Erock is right, 3800's or less for Stock as of October 1st. The ARCOR members didn't want to wait until the middle of Carpet Season (Jan 1st) to switch over to 3700-3800's. Besides that, the majority of the matcher's aren't doing that many 3300's anymore.

ONLY 6 DAYS TO GO. We should be up there around 3-4PM on Friday to get things set-up. It's a seven hour drive for us and we don't drive fast and make frequent stops to stretch the legs.

Anyway, it's looks like all classes are a go! So if you were contemplating coming to this race, pack up your "stuff" and head on over to SCH for a fun day of racing on the 29th!!

EROCK: We're going to miss you, to bad you can't make a one day trip and come on over. With your expertiese, you shouldn't have a problem tuning to the track, besides you must have "notes" from your other visits.:p

Yesterday was a fun "warm up" race in Indy and stock.

Sedan: I had a few ask about the Sedan class... they were wondering if we could switch to 19-Turn 6-cell as most of these guys are not oval guys. I told them we will stick to the 4-cell & spec motor for now... but if all sedan class entries take a vote the morning of the race, we can switch it IF we have 100% compliance by all racers in that class. See how easy we are? I put that vote in YOUR hands so talk amongst yourselves if you want a change.

Stadium Truck: Some were asking about the open modified... some say that will be too fast... some want 19T. Can't make everyone happy, but we will stick with what we posted and we can take a vote on this class as well. We have to have 100% of the entered racers vote to make the rule.

Just a friendly reminder!
Purple TQ has been the choice at SCH.
Orange TQ also works well.
RED TQ -- Not allowed since it has the evergreen smell.
No other compound is legal at SCH.
We have plenty of TQ in stock at the track for sale.
Thanks!

Mike, 19t 6-cell sedan would be fine for me. I think it's a little intense for Shyniah. The only reason i pre-entered sedan was to ensure there would be enough entries for Shyniah to run the class. I think a good alternative might be to run 6 cell(3300's or less, or any) with a spec motor. Shyniah ran her sedan with a 4cell spec pack and spec motor today and its a little slow for experienced drivers. I think a decision needs to be made sooner than race day as this is a pretty big change in set-up and equipment.

The flyer says 19T and 3800's. Now you want to run modified motors and 6 cells. I'm not driving 4 hours to take a vote on what we run. You should stick to what the flyer says for those that might be traveling.

Rickity, you may have misinterpreted what I was "trying" to say. We are sticking to what the flyer says. Thanks for the come back. But as I was "trying" to say... it would have to be a 100% vote! So with you being an entry and voting "no" it would stick to what the flyer says. That simple. And just a "thought" as these are comments from people at the weekend races - as I am just voicing everything on-line for people to discuss.
Also, you can use UP to 3800's in ST... you are not limited to 3800 only. You can use 3300's, 3700's or even 1500's... No LiPos.

No problem. I am just putting verbal comments from the weekend race on the forum to get some feed back. Like I said in the last post for Stadium Truck... we will stick to the flyer. Keep in mind, that this may not mean we cannot add another class for write-in's on race day IF there are enough entries to make it worthwhile. Example, if a bunch of racers want to run a killer unlimited mod class of sorts, we can talk about it - to add it. However, I think from what we currently have listed on the flyer - we already have a HUGE raceday! I have to check with JB off-line to talk about adding classes on race day. One last thing, classes that did not make the "minimum entry" by the pre-entry dead line will not be awarded for obvious reasons. Everything has gone to print!
MR
