track is 100' run line, flat ozite carpet 62' X 34'.

i'm not sure about the other tracks but you can run the binary 4 magnet motors here in the stock class.

Oh and to answer your question JR- you can run the 4 cell modified class too (I won't hold it against you if you don't draw many 12th scale mod boys but hopefully 10th scale mod is a decent draw)

ace, we had a "run what you brung" race at the season's end last year and i ran a putnam 8 turn single, it was a blast!!

our track is just big enuff for a decent mod race with eleven feet of track in the straits and twelve in the corners.

Wow track is looking good! I like what you've done with the corners!

JR or Uspancarchamps can you tell me more about what the US Pan car champs are?? Whats the deal?? Do you have your own set of rules? Where are the other races held? Would like more info. Thanks.

The US Pan Car Championships started out as a single race to determine the best in America. Trouble was that it wasn't a decent cross section because not many for other parts of the country showed up. So I thought, why not bring the racing to the rest of the country, so now it is a national championship tour featuring 20 races (10 oval 10 onroad divided among 5 regions each getting 2 oval and 2 onroad) all leading up to a grand finale set for next summer. Here are the races for oval as of right now:

NE Oval 1: Steel City Hobbies, Pittsburgh, PA December 9-10
NE Oval 2: RC World Raceway, Massena, NY Nov 19-20
SE Oval 1: Thunder Road RC Raceway, Gordonsville, VA Oct 21-23
SE Oval 2: Manatee Thunder Raceway Bradenton, FL (date pending)
SW Oval 1: RC Sports Mania Raceway Phoenix, AZ Oct 28-30
SW Oval 2: Hot Rod Hobbies, Saugus, CA (tentative)
C Oval 1: Midwest Tri-Clone, West Bend WI May 18-21
C Oval 2: Halo Hobbies OH (tentative)
NW Oval 1: Racer's Oasis Kingburg, CA (date pending)
NW Oval 2: Rain City Raceway Renton, WA (tentative)

Oh and we do not have our own rules as of yet. We use ROAR rules (although I have to continually reiterate that we are not a ROAR sanctioned series, we just use ROAR rules as they are the most recognizable)

i think this is the start of something great, i know none of the racerz in our area wouldn't mind being a uspancarchampion of the northeast region.

i don't know about other racerz but myself i feel good when i can go to another track and be competitive.

uspancarchampionship races are "tour" races, we have them in the big cars and they are total fun.

i might sound silly and alot of guy's on this sight will pounce on that, but these northeast races are definatly on my race plan book.

uspancarchamps
09-21-2005, 12:34 PM
Yeah, and you have the chance to become a national champion as well. Essentially the regionals are "sub-tours" and they will funnel to the national championship which we will be starting on in earnest here in the coming weeks

One thing I should mention though...you can only run in regional qualifiers in a region involving your state of residence. You are to provide proof of residency in a state within a region at time of check-in. we will have a database hopefully of racers representing each state on the website which I have been told will be updated and ready to go in 2 weeks, in time for the first race of the tour at Thunder Road RC Raceway in Gordonsville, VA October 21-23 2005. There will be repercussions for anyone found to be "cherry picking" outside of their region

I got a surprise for you folks...if you run at the race in NY, and you haven't run at the race in PA and you finish top 3...you will still qualify! Each race will send its top 3 in each class to the finals. We are hoping to move more to a points series type format in like a year or two but for this year, if you race at one of those races and you finish top 3 in a championship class. you will qualify

the track here is...100' run line, flat gray ozite carpet, 60 x 32 footprint, 98%smooth.

amb transponders, no personals yet, the club couldn't raise enough money to upgrade.

you can see pics of the track @ www.rcwoldraceway.com (http://www.rcwoldraceway.com)

saturday november 19 is all day practice
sunday the 20th is the race, first heat starts at 11:00 am.

question so the cobalt 9 teen adjustable timing is legal for the 19 turn class right. it is roar legal, just want to find out if i have to get another 19 for the big race? wings are allowed in the 19 turn class right?

p.s yes the professor will be there to run the 19 turn orange bennet racing beast.

It would have been legal anyway because ROAR has a very short list of legal 19T motors anyway. We are allowing pretty much any commercially avaiable 19t adjustable timing spec motor, just it has to maintain its physical construction as it comes from the factory (which means you can change springs and brushes if you need to)

And whether or not wings are allowed, I will leave that one up to the guy who runs the place. Hey JR, do you guys normally allow external wings up there man?

Cool I can answer that one i run every week here at r/c world and yes we run wings in the 19turn class.
