He has a T3 and he is always very fast on oval carpet anywhere he goes, so I'd look him up for setup Rc Driver 09-18-2005, 02:27 PM Is TTT Trinity Tech Talk? is Adam Rayls his username? burbs 09-18-2005, 02:35 PM to the top of the page yokman 09-18-2005, 06:43 PM yes it is trinity tech talk.he goes by aerayles on there.you might also look up BUTCH on here his name is butch beebe and he runs truck and is prety fast and he is from michigan also.moss c'mon man give the guy some of your secrets.lol Rc Driver 09-18-2005, 08:12 PM It wont let me email or PM aeRayls, so I cant contact him!!! Could someone get me his email address if its alright with him? johnqpublic 09-18-2005, 09:22 PM You should talk to Tom at Spec Point Batts. He has a T3 that runs awesome on the rug.... j21moss 09-18-2005, 10:27 PM c'om yokeman... I'm not a T3 setup dude but i can make a 10T run like a bat out of heah....LMAO  I'll see how I can get rayls e-mail address Rc Driver 09-19-2005, 07:12 AM I got aeRayls email address last night from a buddy of his. THANkS though!!! disruptor10 09-19-2005, 07:24 AM Here's my 2 cents and i've only been racing trucks for 15 years 80w shock oil w/ whatever pistons u have, spacers in the shocks to get the truck as low as possible! springs LF,LR & RR all green RF blue std castor in the front camber left side 0-1/2 deg positive Right side 2 deg negative U musht have ZERO rear toe in to go fast and u can do that by using 3 deg hubs and reversing them (left on the right and right on the left ) or u can use hammad ghuman 0 deg rear mounts Tires ...use T/m BRAND LF green RF blue Rear green the t/m's are narrower, lighter and therfore are faster what size track u running on ? i couls give u a starting ratio and what motor u using ? Good Luck ! Dave "the truck God " yokman 09-19-2005, 08:36 AM t.m tires are just flat out the best tires made. OvalmanPA 09-19-2005, 05:43 PM "IF" they are legal at your track. :) Check to make sure you don't have to use 2.2x2 wheels before buying. BTW, like johnq said, you might try talking to Tom at Spec Point Concepts (www.specpointbatteries.com) as his T3 really scoots on carpet. disruptor10 09-19-2005, 07:37 PM Hey how come your "spec point" battery link does'nt work ? Just wondering , wanted to look ..... Rc Driver 09-19-2005, 08:14 PM Well as far as track size i really dont no, but I would consider it a small track. I plan on using the Trinity spec 21 turn motor (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXNL80&P=0). This motor is allowed becuase its more of a stock/spec truck class. For are stock/spec truck class you have to have rubber tires so i have striker 2's. Are the T/M brand tires foam tires or rubber? If rubber could someone give me the link to them. THANKS!!! Does having 0 degress rear toe in help alot with speed or is it not noticeable? THANKS for everyones help so far!!! ~Dustin~ OvalmanPA 09-20-2005, 06:08 PM Cause I screwed up the link url. :o Have a look now. TM tires are foams on narrowed up wheels so they won't do you any good in your case. Roadsplat 09-20-2005, 09:59 PM ........ Does having 0 degress rear toe in help alot with speed or is it not noticeable? THANKS for everyones help so far!!! ~Dustin~ Yes it helps quite a bit. RC JonR 09-20-2005, 10:39 PM I used to race 19t oval truck. I put alittle pan car thinking in to it. Get the battery on the left side, and slam that truck to the ground. Also check out this website. mo-motorracing.com. They have O deg. motor plates and racing gears for the tranny. JonR 09-20-2005, 11:12 PM What's up Ray? OvalTrucker 09-22-2005, 01:06 PM Dustin, JonR is right. He used to beat me... when I let him! TM tires are foamies. You may want to consider 19turn truck class in Mt. Pleasant. They are faster, use foam tires and you will race with guys that are there to race not play. There... I said it. We may be running Brushless 5800 in the trucks at Mt. Pleasant too! Scott Rc Driver 09-22-2005, 08:52 PM You may want to consider 19turn truck class in Mt. Pleasant. They are faster, use foam tires and you will race with guys that are there to race not play. There... I said it. We may be running Brushless 5800 in the trucks at Mt. Pleasant too! Scott I'm gonna stick with stock truck for now since i've only raced twice so far. Atleast until I get more experience. JonR 09-22-2005, 10:46 PM Hey Scott, Who's runnin' brushless truck with you? I think you should run the 5.5 motor. Hah Hah OvalTrucker 09-24-2005, 06:10 AM hi Jon, I think Brian and a couple other guys said they might switch. Rumor has it that they will have B/L trucks in Lansing too. JonR 09-29-2005, 09:55 PM Hey Scott, Why don't you try the 5.5 in your truck. That would be lots of fun. Rc Driver 10-02-2005, 03:47 PM U musht have ZERO rear toe in to go fast and u can do that by using 3 deg hubs and reversing them (left on the right and right on the left ) or u can use hammad ghuman 0 deg rear mounts How exactly do you switch them my dad tried this but the tranny wouldnt fit when he switched them. disruptor10 10-05-2005, 02:20 PM Switch the hubs ? or the toe in blocks ? Rc Driver 10-07-2005, 07:21 AM I'll have to try that. Rc Driver 10-10-2005, 04:28 PM Switch the hubs ? or the toe in blocks ? Is that how you get 0 degrees rear toe-in? I dont see how that would do anything. hobbyten 10-11-2005, 03:18 PM in the stock class at mp you have to run rubber tires stock motor and either spec batteries or 1600's as far as setup for the track i actually threw on a set of stock setup shocks and stiffened up the right front and it handles well at this track trying to stay out of trouble is the biggest thing you can do and don't forget to ask some of the veteran racers at the track for a hand. most of the racers at mp will be glad to help you if you ask. good luck this sat. i'll be their running 19t truck Rc Driver 10-11-2005, 08:14 PM good luck this sat. i'll be their running 19t truck Thankz, but i wont be racing this weekend because i have a football game :(. I don't know if it has been decided what exactly is going to happen. There was talk of combining the 2 classes.
