choose your CD rom. from the menu click on file > delete temporary files. tada.

windows tries to be nice and "remembers" the last set of stuff you burned or didn't burn, and reminds you... delete them so you dont see them the next time and can do a nice clean burn with the new files.

thats really odd. did you make sure you right-clicked your cd drive, and chose dump temp files?

odd...

one other thing you CAN do.. is disable that message

To disable the pop-up saying 'there are files ready to be written to CD', you actually need to disable the windows inbuilt cd burning. Go into My Computer, right click on your cd burner, click on the recording tab, and uncheck 'Enable CD Recording on this drive'.

You will still be able to record cds, its just the inbuilt windows one is disabled.

go buy a real cd burning program. heh.

You may not want to do that :P hehe.. as it'll disable the Windows burn function. I personally hate the built in windows cd burning capabilities. it's slow, and suffice to say... slow. ;)

Now.. go get a program like Roxio, or Ahead Nero :P~

Are you simply referring to the fact that when you want to burn, you get that stupid notification near your task bar reminding you? There is a program for fixing that, its called XP Antispy. It gives you the option of removing the Balloon Tips that XP shows you. But this is ALL of them. Also, you can still hear the sound for when a tip should pop up..lol. I don't think there is any way to fully eliminate them, or just one specific type.
