chad
Well you've already put in half the posts on this thread. Give someone else a chance.
Anyone want to run touring car? I'm up for stock, 19T or mod.
WhirlinGraphics 09-17-2005, 12:05 AM Brian, you will speak only when spoken to! :p
I stopped by Rick's house yesterday and told him the good news. He wasn't sure when he would be able to start racing but was interested in the idea. With 3 kids all involved with school sports he is a very busy parent this time of year. I imagine the two of us will try to come up and visit sometime during the first few races.
chad
j21moss 09-17-2005, 09:49 AM Brian... word is around that touring car will be there in stock and sometimes in mod..the 19T hasn't run at all but you never know.. Bob Cordell and company and Brian Smith will run them I'm sure
rockin_bob13 09-17-2005, 10:36 AM I was fixin' on my TC just last night. My boy and I like 'em as 6-cell stock. I vote to go ahead and let the 3800's be legal at the start of the season. Many matching companys are already done with 3300's. BC
Mark Recio 09-18-2005, 12:05 AM Any official word on Paragon?
Also, I thought we were running on friday nights at first? Either way...no complaints here! Look forward to seeing some of the old indy crew back in action. Anyone heard from Bad Brad McCall?
j21moss 09-18-2005, 02:09 PM for what I hear it will start on Saturdays for awhile then it will go back to Fridays..Haven't heard anything about McCall for awhile but I'm sure word will get around... Mark how did you do in Cincy??
Mark Recio 09-19-2005, 03:15 PM This weekend in cincy was good. They have a great facility and I'd encourage ppl to take a trip if they have the time before stout opens. Very smoooooth and FAST!
j21moss 09-19-2005, 07:55 PM might have to do that
wallyworld 09-20-2005, 10:16 AM Hey Racestreet! Good luck you guys at your new location!
BadSign 09-21-2005, 02:30 PM hey Bob, can you shoot me some set-up tips?
Mark Recio 09-21-2005, 02:35 PM Hellooooooooo out there...Paragon, yes or no?
Bueller...Bueller...
rockin_bob13 09-21-2005, 03:11 PM My car is a TC3. Purple/orange RF, purple rears, 2pink LF, all from John's BSR tires. What else would you like to know? BC (can't wait.)
j21moss 09-21-2005, 04:01 PM Mark, I believe so... haven't heard otherwise
BadSign 09-21-2005, 09:52 PM Bob,
TC3 as well,
I was already planning 3 Purples and Pink LR, guess I need to re-think that
castor 0 deg L; 2-4 deg R,
Purple Rear Springs,
White Front Springs,
60W all around (all though it seems a little thin to me)
Do you mess with camber rod location or shock mounting?
rockin_bob13 09-22-2005, 01:27 PM You're on the right track. My car is very modified, so stick with what you know and you'll be allright. Because of the mods on my car, what works on mine may not be good for yours. But what you have listed is right on par. BC
WhirlinGraphics 09-23-2005, 07:27 PM Poll question:
What top 2 classes are you likely to run the most this season?
Grand National and IndyCar for me.
chad
mGraves 09-23-2005, 07:57 PM Hellooooooooo out there...Paragon, yes or no?
Bueller...Bueller...
wHaT uP mArKiO?? What would Stout be without the fresh smell of wintergreen soaked in your clothes for the ride home?? Yummy...Nothing better when your windows are rolled up because it's 5 degrees outside. Stout has to be Paragon!!!!
nickcacc 09-23-2005, 08:55 PM A little Paragon behind each ear and your set....chicks dig the Ground Effects....
BadSign 09-23-2005, 10:04 PM A little Paragon behind each ear and your set....chicks dig the Ground Effects....
Honey, turn on some soft music and light some candles...
BTW, I'm planning on Touring and BGN. Might bring a micro for a "little" fun.
WhirlinGraphics 09-24-2005, 12:49 AM Shame on you, Nick, you didn't answer the poll question! ;)
chad
j21moss 09-24-2005, 09:27 AM well for right now until I get my 05 Maverick built it will have to be 4 cell Busch or Arca whatever they ever decide to call it, with the ole T/M car.. I'm starting to get that car figured out.. The way I lo0k at it, if I call get that car going then I can get any car going.. but the ole Indycar also will be there and at times the ole mighty 10T Pendleton truck will make a rare appearance once or twice.
nickcacc 09-24-2005, 10:30 PM Chadley, the poll answer would be Indycar if anything......
WhirlinGraphics 09-25-2005, 04:17 AM So your saying you might have something better to do than racing R/C cars? :o
chad
j21moss 09-25-2005, 12:35 PM Matt Graves how in the world did you attach your photos on here??
mGraves 09-26-2005, 12:40 AM Matt Graves how in the world did you attach your photos on here??
Upload your pics. on a free hosting site like photobucket.com. After you have them on there highlight the bottom IMG box below the picture, rightclick to copy, and then paste them here in your message.

mGraves 09-26-2005, 12:44 AM well for right now until I get my 05 Maverick built
How long does it take to build a car?? You've been talking about this for six freaking monthes!!!! :freak: Get it built you lazy ass!!
huffrcman 09-26-2005, 06:46 AM Maybe that is why he runs old stuff, it takes him 5 years to get them together. LMAO
nickcacc 09-27-2005, 10:34 PM Ok, are there rules for Stout posted anywhere? Is Indycar going to be 6 cell? Matt, nice pic of Jerri in his younger days....before his woman made a man of him....
mGraves 09-27-2005, 11:32 PM Matt, nice pic of Jerri in his younger days....before his woman made a man of him....
What are you talking about Nick......That was taken a couple weeks ago!!
WhirlinGraphics 09-29-2005, 02:08 AM Ok, are there rules for Stout posted anywhere? Is Indycar going to be 6 cell?
I don't think we should wait for the guys in New Castle to post rules on a website. ;) We potential IndyCar racers need to get together and decide rules on our own. Isn't that how it kinda is now?
chad
j21moss 09-29-2005, 09:04 AM rules for indycar????????? those rules went out the window when the Woods indycar debuted..so the way I look at it.. 6 cell stock and run what you bring and let'r eat!!!
rockin_bob13 09-29-2005, 01:47 PM I saw Kenny k. He said he and Dinwiddie were bringing them as 4 cell, 19T. I'm in for the way we've been using them as 6-cell stock. Car is ready to roll. BC
WhirlinGraphics 09-29-2005, 06:51 PM This is what will scare me away from converting my 10L into an IndyCar. I'm not comfortable with this Outlaw 'anything goes' mentality. Too much money trying to keep up with the latest and greatest. I think we need to come up with a 'spec' and stick to it for the long run. I like close racing, not one or two guys lapping the field. This is why I came up with and like running Sportsman/Grand National. Just my opinion.
chad
rockin_bob13 09-29-2005, 06:58 PM Don't get scared. Velo rules we've been runnin 6-cell stock forever. More of these run at the Velo than anywhere 'round here.
j21moss 09-29-2005, 07:17 PM that's funny!!!! Last time I checked I run a indycar that's at least 10 yrs old and still can run with theses boys on carpet... ask anyone on here.. don't have to have a high tech car to run.. maybe at the velo but not stoutfield
WhirlinGraphics 09-29-2005, 07:35 PM And how much are you guys spending for your 3800 6 cell 'team' matched pack?
chad
huffrcman 09-29-2005, 08:04 PM $45 bucks, maxamps.com.
Z-Main Loser 09-29-2005, 09:00 PM http://rc4less.safeshopper.com/41/cat41.htm?7792
Insane power at a good price.
rockin_bob13 09-29-2005, 09:39 PM Hobbytown Indy, $45. In stock. Real SMC's. 6-cell packs.
j21moss 09-29-2005, 11:03 PM there u go Chad!!!! No excuses!!!!
WhirlinGraphics 09-30-2005, 01:51 AM I would buy them from a local shop and get the SMC "Top 2%" cells. Those '.com' places don't supply me with a track to race on. Of course, neither does HobbyTown USA Indy, but that is beside the point. Let's add this up using the prices from the site that Z-Main Loser supplied. (The Horizon site was more expensive and didn't provide as many options)
2 - 6 cell @ $75 = $150
In preparation for when only the 4 cell guys show up to race:
2 - 4 cell @ $50 = $100
For a absolute minimum total of $250. Probably need to do this once a season to stay competitive or to upgrade to the new standard capacity?
Grand National class:
4 - Spec stick packs @ $20 = $80
$250 does not even come close to fitting my budget for racing. $80 can and does.
chad
kato71 09-30-2005, 07:49 AM My vote is to continue with the Stock motors for Indycar, 6 cell equal saddle packs, stick pack or side-by-side. I'm not going to jump right into the 3700/3800's right now. In the past we have allowed 4-cell 19t guys to run with what they had, but if they are going to run more than once a season they can get some 6 cell batteries and stock motors. While the 4 Cell Spec batteries are inexpensive, not all the cars can run them or place then on the chassis.
bluelineracer 09-30-2005, 09:18 AM chad.....i've got plenty of 4 cell packs for you to run if needed. Just let me know when you'll be there and I'll bring them along..
dusty kemp
j21moss 09-30-2005, 09:35 AM D/K!!!!! U da Man!!!!!!!!
BadSign 09-30-2005, 06:40 PM Chad, if you're that cheap (and you know I am, too) get a micro.
