What's the motor rules if any for the beginner/novice class? Is it like our breakout class without the lap restriction?

katf1sh
11-24-2005, 03:21 PM
novice class is any roar legal stock motor. break out classes should not have any restrictions..your goal is to not break out..so speed kills....

novice class any roar legal stock motor including the ever popular purple bird handout motor. holy smokes less than 16 hours and i'm in hobby world land! woooooooooooooooooooo

i have the victory lane pictures if anyone would like them sent to them via email.

i'm not sure we can ever have another race like that again? put into planning only a couple months ago and it turned out to be one of the best races i have been at!

the raffle donations were better than i could have dreamed of! the racing was at a level i have never seen before! the attitudes on the drivers stand and around the pits were unreal! 82 entries for a new event was awesome! the weather could not have gotten any better! track records were shattered! we filled the entire back lot of hobby world! 38 laps in 19 turn was slowwwwwwwww ultra bird motors TQ"d every 19 turn class and re-set all the 19t track records! families attended and had fun! we had more than 2 entries in the novice class! holy smokes i'm on over load!

to hobby world and the racers who help make the track the best in the state! I THANK YOU ALL roy provided the extra lighting....bear helped promote the race and george ramos was the man behind the scenes! some of the other local racers provided directions, hotel info and car set-up advice. all attitudes were left at home and i think everyone had a blast! that race was better than i could have ever imagined! the only problem is.....now we have to top that for next year! look out!

mr. rook from hobby world said we are all welcome back in the future and hobby world provided about a 1000.00 in merchandise to the raffle...hurricane motor sports donated a ton of stuff to the raffel...highspeed hobbies went out of there way to donate raffle prizes and some gifts to the racers.....george ramos got the t-shirts done on a few days notice! joe from speed line donated alot of stuff to the raffle and drove from tampa to come up and race with us! and we have pictures to prove we were there!

AND KENNY THE SCARE CROW HOLMES WAS AWESOME! talking into that mic for 10 hours is not very easy! the race ran smoooooth as always with kenny at the controls! i'm working on 2006 to try and make it better.

2006
turkey drum with date on front of t-shirt is a must
plaques for 1 2 3 in all mains will be considered
dark cloud award
insane speed run
an even larger raffle!!!
WE CAN DO IT!!!!!

everyone have a safe holiday season and thank you all for making this one of the best races i have ever attended! hobby world went out of there way to help make this a great event as did all of our sponsors. please remeber them when deciding where to shop for christmas.

RGU reprographics provided the trophies and the cash pay outs along with the shirt design. highspeed hobbies....hobby world....hurricane motor sports...RCI.....speedline hobbies.....and thanks to mike boylan mr. thunder racing for his support all year long.. john malin for the record breaking sugar water!

All I can say is thanks all the sponsors. they went above and beyond. also thanks to Kat kenny George Ramos Tom Marlowe and Roy Phillips with these guys it couldn't have happened.

to those that didn't come you missed out big time. it was just a fun day of racing. in pro stock me and Tom P both broke the 35 lap mark with him getting TQ by a few 10ths. then in the main we raced nose to tail for the whole race making passes and not wrecking just good clean hard driving. in the end tom p won it by .1

1/10th 19t was another mind blowing day at the mile. we all knew that we would see 39 laps and you would need 38 to hit the A. well Tom Pedano Ernie Bucci and Mike Boylan all went 39 laps. and in the main Pedano pushed 40 laps closer. he went a new Track Record 39 4 flat wow fast.

12th scale the Bean show AGain he also ran a Track Record.

to all the guys who couldn't make it. Next big race at Hobby World you need to make it. I love driving these cars and this track just is so awsome to run. the speeds of 19t 5.9 that is hauling the mail, heck stock we are ripping off 6.8s so you need to try it out. there are like a tone of hotels 5 min from the track at a good price and pleanty of places to eat.

thanks again to the sponsors and all the racers that came up for the best race (besides the Birds) that I have ever attended

Fish-
(1) A Turkey drumstick w/date on next year's t-shirt would be cool. Also, incorporating the blow-up turkey's face into the design would be hilarious!
(2) Yeah, that would be a good move. That's the one thing I heard all day was nothing for the B/C Main winners.
(3) "Dark Cloud" award-definitely a must.
(4) Speed Run? Bring fire extinguishers, hockey pads & paper bags to bring home what's left of your car after hitting the walls at breakneck speed! Extra painted boards for the walls a must, too! LOL
(5) Larger raffle would be very cool!

To Bob of Mills Pond- Glad you came up to race w/ us. Sorry to hear of the Wilma damage to your track. Hope you get it back up & running soon!

George, Katf1sh, and everyone involved: Thanks for a super event. Good crowd especially when you think the plans only came together over 6-8 weeks! A really nice facility and almost all of the racers were class acts!

Enjoyed the racing and the hospitality! Can't wait to race some more "flat track" to get a little better idea on staying off the boards! Look forward to coming up again!
