I have a question about the Springfield race at Allen's, it says Stockoberfest. Are they going to run brushless 4300 as well?

We will be taking a Club Vote on Sunday about the Battery Situation. I would assume that we will vote in up to 3800 max.

Yeah, I'll be there Sunday. Got a couple packs of 3800s and was wondering if I'll be able to run them.

The Wolfman called today to let me know Jan 7th is the date for this years Big Blizzard Race at His & Hers Hobbies in Bloomington, IL.

Intense Raceway Park (formerly AJ's) in Dekalb, IL has released a schedule. They will race once a month for now, and if there is a big turnout, they will add more dates. Also, there are still plans for a Triple Crown series. Here are the dates and times.

The entire place has been remodeled, drivers stand is lowered and they have brand new CRC rubber backed Ozite. Same stuff as the Birds!

I beleive the oval will be set up Friday night for practice. (6-10pm)

ahhh...nevermind! there is a seperate thread for the blizzard, Wolfman says it is going to beon the 8th. kinda like last year, DeKalb on saturday, Bloomington on Sunday:)

Allens R/C in Rochester, IL (Springfield area) will be hosting the Oval Kick-Off Classic on Saturday Oct 29th.

Featured classes will be:

4 Cell Stock (ROAR legal 27T)
4 Cell Brushless ( Novak 4300 any ESC)
4 Cell 19T (ROAR legal 19T)

Payout to the top 5 in the above classes in the form of Allen’s Gift Certificates.
Entry Fee is $20 ($8 of every entry goes to the payout)

Doors open at 8:30am racing begins at 2pm.
3 Heats and a main (8 cars in the A)

Allen just put down new CRC carpet so the track should be very fast this season.

April 8-9th, 2006 ARCOR Carpet Nationals at Classic Hobbies, to include the 2nd running of the Classic Twinny Twin Twin April 7th.

Here is the info for the big race in December copied from their site.
I know there has been some discussion about paragon at all my big races. We typically do not allow paragon. I do not want my local guys to feel like they are buying something that they will use once or twice a year. I will stock paragon for you at a very reduced rate. You will have to be signed up to get the discount. It should be 40-50% cheaper, around 4 bucks. You do not have to buy it. I am not sure it will really help all that much, but some of the out of town racers wanted to be able to use it. It may help early in the day, but I imagine you will be switching back to niftec for the later rounds.

All day friday will be practice. Open at 7am.

Saturday open at 7am racing will start at 2pm.

We will do 4 qual rounds.

Classes:

Oval Stock.
Oval 19T
Oval Brushless 5800 Novak
Oval Open Mod


The race entry fee will be 30 dollars.

Prizes and trophies will be given out to the top 3 a-main and first in the b-main.

Prizes will be a pro3/Possibly a KSG. Tires......

The proceeds will go to toys for tots. I will match 1/2 the race entry fees.

Feb 4th is the Cheeseland Challenge in Green Bay, WI
Been a pretty highly attended race in the last 4-5 years, and gains popularity every year. And everyone runs stock, to make it one large class, and the track is too small to handle 19t.
Its not a wide open track, more a smaller bull ring, but a really fun time as well!
