I picked up two Atlas cars when purchasing t-jet lots on Ebay. The bodies are in good shape but I am missing the front bumpers.
Does anybody have the front bumper for the Atlas Pontiac and/or Atlas Station Wagon?

I don't remember who but someone is setting up a shop like RRR for ATLAS and you should be able to get your bumbers in the future

Pretty lucky. The body is in great shape, even has the chrome roof rack intact.

Thanks Buzzinhornet. The Atlas forum isn't as active, but hopefully, I will get a response.

I did a mold of the F&R bumpers for the Atlas '62 Pontiac GP a while ago but still have the molds. They are resincast in white.I can also do a clear top.

I have a set of Neal's bumpers for a Pontiac, good stuff! Though I'm embarrased to say I never got around to applyng the Bare-Metal Foil to make them silver, and I've had them for like a year and a half... thanks Neal!

Neal,

I don't know if you know this or not but there is metallic powder you can buy that you dust the mold with before pouring the resin and you will get silver bumbers or gold if you want a pimp mobile :)

Its a casting powder on this page. As far as I know for the silver and gold you do not need the clear resin as the powder bonds the the resin when it cooks off just like paint does when you have painted the mold,

Roger, remember those great deals Mike was offering on his M.E.V. bodies? Well the bumpers were grey plastic , right? Well I tried a product that I bought at a model shop called Alclad chrome laquer....It's the GREATEST stuff you've ever seen..Check out their website..You first put on a coat of gloss black ENAMEL , then 2 coats of the chrome via airbrush. And you won't believe how great this works. At first I was worried about the first coat of chrome, but then a couple minutes late...WOW. Try it Roger, You WILL love it............Tom O.

Thanks Tom,

I use it already but because all my cars have the bumpers and grills cast in I have to brush it on. Its good this way but not as good as when its sprayed on :)
