I thought it might be worthwhile to start some discussion amongst the various tracks in this area as to what the battery rules will be.

It really doesn't matter to me too much whether we wait until Jan 1 for the new cells or start with them at the start of the season.

It would be nice if the various tracks in the area were on the same page though.

What do people think and what are the plans at tracks in this area? Thanks.

Pat, I talked to Allen at Allen's RC in Springfield IL and it sounds like he will run up to 3800s. We've been running them on the dirt oval at his place this summer, so we will probably just break the 6 cell packs down to 4 cell. I plan on buying new cells when carpet season starts, probably 3700 or 3800. I'll use my 3300s from last year for the tracks that don't allow the new cells.
