Buying a monster truck, these are the two i have been looking at, just looking for some feeback on which one is better. im looking for a nice fast durable car to send off jumps and do some pretty wicked offroading with =)

i dont now what the genesis is like off jumps but the SAVAGE is a GREAT flyer, and i dont have a genesis to compare to but i LOVE the Savage

SAVAGE all the way I dont own either of them but I work at a local large hobby shop and we carry both trucks the CEN just doesnt hold up, TOO much power its almost undriveable, and self destructs from the gobs of power. they are in for repair more than any vehicle out there,

I think the savage is a all around better truck IMO and there is alot of aftermarket upgrades etc...!!!

More up grades for savage not sure on the gen

I have 3 gen's, and they have all been awesome! Have had bugger all go wrong with them, although i dont run the centre diff locker as many do. Theres no need IMO. They are tuff as nails, although, I'd recommend the roll cages available through ebay as a safeguard.

The steering isnt quick enough but after upgrading the servo's it has improved. My geration 1 has only experienced 1 hub failure, and since its my bash car I just wired it up and glued it - GOOD AS GOLD!!!

There are plenty of hop up parts available, but mainly these parts are aluminium replacement parts for some of the plastic. Aside from the aluminium diff housing on my LE that come standard, I havent bothered upgrading anything else... Why would you?! The gen is blinged with everything straight from the factory.

If you want a more race inspired truck, try the nemesis 7.7. Otherwise, ignore the 'sheep' and go for the genesis... You wont regret it. ;)

If you are new to RC you may want one of the ready to run Savages, the 4.6 is a kit, I put mine together no problem - but just something to think about. Parts for the HPI trucks are pretty easy to come by, both replacement and hop-ups.
