Mike@SteelCity 09-08-2005, 06:17 PM We have been getting a lot of emails and phone calls.... There will be prizes for winners, as well as drawings. And there is no charge for spectators.
There are several ways to get a prize... just entering the race, wining the race, or by joining a raffle or 50/50. All will be fair, and there is a tremendous amount of prizes so it will be worth showing up!
Thanks for the notes!
Mike
RC Runner 09-08-2005, 11:22 PM Mr. M, it seems you are very much a humanitarian. It seems when I look on here a lot of your work is for a charitable cause while embracing RC. Keep up the good work.
Mike@SteelCity 09-13-2005, 11:25 PM EVERYONE is invited. On-Road, Off-Road, Air, Surface, Water, whomever! Anyone into R/C will benefit from this as well as the victims from Katrina down in the Gulf. If you have an off-road vehicle, this is the last BIG race of the year and it is for a good cause. It will be a lot of fun as well. If you are on-road, no worries... everyone will benefit from this so stop in for a good time!
We have MORE sponsors so check out the flyer for details: http://www.steelcityhobbies.com/Flyers/SCHHobbyTown.pdf
For further questions, contact Scott at HobbyTown or NitroMike or myself at SCH!
Thanks!
Mike
PS
Thanks RC! I try to be a team player.

Mike@SteelCity 09-15-2005, 09:32 AM Gate opens around 10am... (I do not think there is a gate?)
If you want a pit space, it would not hurt to bring pop up tents, table, extension cords, etc...
Scott just dumped another 10-Tons of sifted Top Soil! I am heading over to help out in a few... volunteers are welcome of course!
Mike@SteelCity 09-15-2005, 11:28 PM If you choose to click this option, please explain! I have been in touch with these guys and one said they clicked the wrong button, and the other can only race on Sundays! Sorry guys...
Mike@SteelCity 09-15-2005, 11:31 PM I was over at HobbyTown today working on the track. Scott got in a few loads of sifted top soil... Also, the prizes are AMAZING! Where else can you give up 2 or 3 bucks for a R/C basket worth over 300 bucks! There are several of these, pluse other prizes that are very winable. Also, the Steelers have thrown in 2 Steelers Tickets to a game this season... There are more and almost too many prizes to list!

Mike@SteelCity 09-16-2005, 11:09 PM Just a final reminder about the event tomorrow... the latest is we will be raffling off tickets for the New England-Steelers game thanks to the Steelers.
There is rain tonight which is good for the track... tomorrow it is supposed to be around 70º as a high so that is perfect racing weather! Stop by even if you are not racing... it is all for a good cause.
Mike
What's the weather like up there? Is the race still on ? Thanks
Mike@SteelCity 09-18-2005, 03:40 PM Thanks to the hundreds who supported!
The rain held off and the day was perfect for outdoor off-road racing.
We had 55 entries
Every entry received a door prize!
SCH and Hobbytown worked hard to put on a good show. Great turn out and hopefully a recurring race for the future.
