How do I check a 18 HP kohler stator. Is it tested in a/c volts or ohms. What reading should I be seeing. There is two wires coming off it.

Not running you can check it for continunity in the Ohms setting. It should be well below 1K. Running, AC Volts. In round numbers greater than 12, less than 20. Good luck.
