OS: Running Windows XP in year-old store-bought Compaq. Still works fine, overall.
Browser: Ditched IE a over a year ago in favor of Mozilla Firefox. LOVE IT.
PROBLEM: Everything was fine until about a week ago. I had been able to watch online clips with Media Player, but now get an error msg that says MP cannot access the network (this is at home, I'm not on any network as far as I know). Now MP won't open anything online. If I'm able to download and save it, it'll work, just not online.
I have changed no settings in the past week. Nothing is different, or should be. Problem appears to have come out of nowhere.
Oh yeah - I also used to be able to open IE for the rare page that only opens right with IE. Now IE "can't find server." It opens, but won't access any page of the Net.
IE/MP are basically kaput as far as usefulness goes.
Suggestions? Thanks in advance
