I've seen the question asked a few times with no response. Does anyone know what the battery rule will be for the race?

Thanks

why is this track against the use of the newer cells. All the tracks I visit are allowing the newer cells after sept. 1.
Most batt companies stopped matching 3300's awhile ago.
What gives? Most racers pick up new cells each season and prices are similiar to 3300's.
Just curious, thanks

I also see no reason to say yes to open 19T but no to stock?

I do not know Dave's reasons for limiting Stock and 19turn Spec to 3300's but, I am guessing it's to keep those classes from having to buy 3700/3800's to be competitive, since those classes were already running 3300's last year they should not have to buy new batteries to run they should still have them. Just my 2 cents

he likes to keep the cost of racing down for his regular people, and his regular classes are stock and 19t cameleon.

tj,you are right.Dave trys to keep things less costly for his people he has racing at his track..Where he is so far up North is hard to depend on people from down in our area to race there every week..As people will race at tracks that are closer to them..I hope that by Dave not changing the battery limit for stock will cause people not to go..I will be there even if he said we could only use AA batterys...:)

If you let 2 classes use them you should let all classes use them.

Hello to dancind and the rest of the gang
I have had a hectic summer. Aug. 15 divorce finallized, Aug. 31 no more house, Sept 8, no more job, so I am more than ready to get the season started. I am planning at least on test weekend at Dave's before the race weekend. I can understand the battery thing , because it would effect 75% of our own club. See ya's at the track

Bar,
I don't think anyone is going to run mod, but not 100%. Seems the mod drivers have gone to 19T. The reason in my opinion; less places to run mod, the cost to race only a few times a year in modified might not be worth the expense, time or effort. Most tracks have changed to flat surfaces, where 19T and stock run fast and manageable. I myself enjoyed running modified at the track, so fast and on the edge, but as reasons stated above for going to 19T.

Modified has all but died in the north east. There was to few races to spend the money to be fast, with the new batteries you need to buy them every time you go racing, just does not make sense.

Hey all,
I figured it was about time to make a user id and get in here. I hope we see alot of racers show up for the race October 9. Dave needs our support now more then ever. I, for one, done want to be racing on iceblocks this winter. Hey Bob, Race went great this Fri. This is the second week I've won all 3 heats and the main with 6 laps under 5sec in my best heat. I probably just jinxed myself "but what the heck". I hope Mitchel kicks ass in 19t. See ya at the race!

Turn out was a bit better this past friday. Many of the racers take the summer off. And most will be returning in the next few weeks. Business is sure to pick up. If it doesn't, I heard Richard Fabas was going to take up midget wrestling in order to raise money. Be sure to ask Richard about his new "Runt Racing Team" he's putting together. He's quite proud of it and even has his own monagrammed podium set up at the track which he races from. :)
