Hello to all Victor Engineering Tracpac users.
How can i print out the graphs and infos with actual Computer Hardware ?
The old Tracpac software (1990) is running fine on win xp, but the tracpac software has no drivers for actual printers.
Did someone know a trick ?
You can send me e-mails direct to following adress.

Sent you an e-mail with a link to the Tracpac instruction sheet. Let me know if the link does not work for you.

Thanks roadsplat,
the link works fine. But the problem is, the vic can be connectet directly to a serial interfaced printer. Actual printers have parallel and/or USB interfaces.
My PC has a serial RS232 interface. So vic and pc working fine together.
Only printing does not work. I think that the Tracpac software will send "serial datas" to a serial printer interface that doesnīt exist.
Iīm not a computer champ, i hope that someone can tell me a programm or emulator or driver i had to run and evrything works.

I think you need a serial-to-parallel converter if you're running off the iq unit to the printer, it has a pack of dip switches you set to the specs you need, I bought mine from Dalco Electronics many years ago, at the time I think it cost me around $50.. worked excellent, now I'm running everything off the multiplexor programs, it has parallel ports already.. Their website is www.dalco.com (http://www.dalco.com),, good to hear from a fellow VE man, best units ever..

Hi rolloutwheel,
thanks for your answer. Did you connect the VE direct to the printer or to your computer or both together? I tried to find some " fellow VE Men " in germany but it seems they died out. Since a few weeks I use the RS-232 printer cable from Samīs workbench website connectet to my computer and it works great with it. But i could not print out the graphs or the labels. I tried a screenshot programm too, but when the VE software displays he graphs the screenshots did not work. You have only a picture of a blank screen. Im looking for a serial to parallel converter in germany. Great advice.

Actual printers have parallel and/or USB interfaces.

Well, this is simply just not true. Sorry to be picky, but statements like that is what gives other users bad information. Many commercial and industrial printing solutions use RS-232 interfaces. The concept behind the parallel interface has become a known 'printer' interface, but that doesn't mean 'actual printers' have parallel interfaces. However, it's used for other things as well.

Maybe i should say "actual printers have parallel and/or usb connections". It seems for you that my english is perfect but let me tell you i have to dictionarys on my knees for all the words i didnīt know. I can write in german, but than you
will be in trouble. Na, wie findest Du das ? Soll ich so weitermachen? Bestimmt nicht.
Sorry,sorry for wrong pronunciation.
My printer a Canon i865, 2 years old has only a parallel and a usb port.
