bud3738 08-29-2005, 03:26 PM Was curious of anyone has any feedback on this new Battery Company located In Mass.........Heard the Owner Lino gave away a new Radio (value around $350.00) after winning a summer series up in York Maine. The radio was the prize and he gave it to some young kid in the pits who is new in the hobby.....
.....Upon hearing this I purchased a few Battery Packs from him today to try them out and help out his buiseness....That is how you promote the hobby...
.
Upon viewing his website I noticed his prices are good...........Was wondering
if anyone bought any batteries from him yet and how they ran......I have been
screwed by matchers who have not been so honest on numbers and so I am
reluctant to try anything from New Matchers however after learning he gave away a top of the line radio to someone new racer in the pits.....That was enough for me........

burbs 08-29-2005, 05:24 PM Lino is a great guy.. Ive only been using his stuff for a short time.. you right, you cant beat his prices.. from the feedback i have heard and seen, his stuff is stout.. check there thread on rctech. its a long thread..
sharkman 08-30-2005, 12:40 AM Lino is a class act. From motors to batts, you can't go wrong with his products and support.
Very approachable, always willing to dyno a motor for people even while wrenching on his own stuff.
Milky 08-30-2005, 01:03 AM On their site it says free rebuilds for life on all their motors, and the batts seem to be priced well, The only matched batteries Ive bought were promatch. Any insight on this Burby??
Andy
yokman 08-30-2005, 10:09 AM anyone bought any stock motors from this company?i was at a big race this past weekend and a guy was running one of there stock motors.he went to a friend of mine for a rebuild.he said that it has only been rebuilt 2 times before but the com was already down to nothing.i ask cause i too am interested in there product as the prices are right on.i am not saying that it was hyperforms fault..just wondering.
p.s that driver came in 2nd in the A.
bud3738 08-30-2005, 10:28 AM well.........I know when I am at a big race...Ill cut the comm right down to 280............
if you wanna go fast.....sounds like your friend had a good motor
yokman 08-30-2005, 11:34 AM i hear ya for sure on that one but this one was 268.and ya it was a good one.
HyperformRacing 09-05-2005, 12:12 AM Hey guys, thanks for the praise. I wanted to point out that the coms I ship are usually 290+. The rest range between 285-290. I leave it up to the individual to decide whether they want to chop it down. Personally, I don't do it on the motors I run. I def don't do it as some kind of scam to get you to purchase a replacement arm. Not that I feel anyone is implying this.
It is very easy to take too much off while making a cut. You should barely notice any copper flying of the com.
We have had great feedback on our batts by those who have cycled/run them. Talk to locals such as Dennis Anger and some others Rick, they will let you know.
bud3738 09-05-2005, 03:01 PM got an order of 4 packs the other day...ordered 4 more packs for a friend.....will try them this Week..........Will leave honest feedback
dancingd 09-05-2005, 04:59 PM Bud,I got three packs and cycled them and last a few seconds on run time, but the votage stayed the same as the labels...I ran the packs and will say I can't say anything bad about them...
burbs 09-05-2005, 07:09 PM remeber new cells, take 2-3 runs before they start to get good.. the cells need to be trained to work as a pack.. It is not good to cycle new cells before they are run.. it is a diff kind of load.. i run mine 3-5 times before my first cycle...
bud3738 09-06-2005, 07:51 AM I agree with Burbs....My home track will allow the new cells in another 3-4 weeks.....
so im using them in practice to "Break them In"...
HyperformRacing 09-07-2005, 12:20 AM Hey guys! I wanted to let you know that we will be carrying adjustable timing hand wound 19t motors for you oval guys shortly. They will be a D5 can with a hand wound D1 19t single (mabuchi wound) arm and standup brushes. They will come tuned with standup 4383 brushes and varying spring combos. We will also start carrying standup XXX and F brushes. The motors should be available next week.
Also, let me know if you get those cells tomorrow Rick. I should have known with the holiday, things would get messed up. I work pretty much 24/7 these days so I'm not always on the up and up on when things like holidays and weekends are. I didn't even realize it was Labor Day until around 4:00 in the afternoon yesterday! :)
It was good talking to you as always though...
bud3738 09-07-2005, 08:16 AM Thanks Lino.........Very Satisfied with the service....Will try out the new packs tonight
HyperformRacing 09-10-2005, 12:29 AM How did the packs work out for you and your friend Rick?
bud3738 09-12-2005, 09:23 AM My track will allow us to use them in a few weeks......Had a friend run a pack in practice and he stated it had some good rip......Trying to get all the packs with 2 runs on them to break them in........I tried a pack in practice and did not have the computer on...But it seemed fast...When the computer is on this week I should be able to gauge the performance......How many runs Lino do you think to break the packs In?.......They are definatley better that the GP3300's I have......
HyperformRacing 09-12-2005, 10:48 AM 2-3 runs will get them working with eachother well.
HyperformRacing 09-28-2005, 01:40 AM Hello guys! I wanted to let you know I have standup XXX and 4383 brushes in stock. I also have added a hand wound adjustable timing 19t motor to our arsenal for your oval guys. It’s a d5 can with a d1 armature.
PUF19 09-28-2005, 11:04 AM D5 can with D1 arms, is that NOT a Hybread??? as in NOT LEGAL....
MIKE VALENTINE 09-28-2005, 11:19 AM PUF19 that's the most common configuration of all the d5 setups. the d1 arm or rpm blank which you know it as, was submitted to roar for approval in the d5 can for mod but with p94 brushes.
PUF19 09-28-2005, 11:47 AM Thanks Mike.
HyperformRacing 09-28-2005, 01:22 PM Yeah, it's a D5 can w/ standard standup brushes and a d1 arm mabuchi wound which is 100% legal as far as my understanding goes...
HyperformRacing 09-28-2005, 03:12 PM The website has been updated so our hand wound adjustable timing 19turn D5 based motors can be purchased!
