View Full Version : Lail Speedway
JSJ Racing 08-28-2005, 09:06 PM This track is located in Maryville, Tennessee.
Lail's started out as a dirt oval back in the mid eighties. It was concreted in 1990 and lasted for many years. Racing fell off and the track closed. With MSA closing in Crossville and few of us racers talked too Dennis Lail and have talked him into reopening the track. There is alot of work to be done to get it back open and running. Last weeked about 10 of us put in a days work and got alot done. We still need to tear down the old scoring tower, shack shak, and restroom and replace them. Along with the drivers stand.
Track has weather pretty good thorugh the years and should not take much to get it up and running.
If anyone remembers running at Lail's let hear from you and what you remember.
Hope to be racing with you soon.
Thanks,
Scott

Mr.fastman 04-04-2006, 09:50 PM Wow - The track looks really impressive, will there be racing on the 15th. What tire combination works there?
Dodgefan23 04-04-2006, 09:56 PM Believe it or not, I was on 4 BSR Spec (same as pinks) caps as was the 21 Turn track record holder Robbie Burgess! Maybe one of the locals could chime in.
hrtpumper 04-04-2006, 10:51 PM Hey guys,
Specs work well, tons of traction and they last, some guys also running pinks and I believe red left rear on some also if it is cold. I run specs
Mic Man
awhite 04-04-2006, 11:00 PM When the warm weather moves in to stay,4 greens or 2 greens left side and 2 blues rightside. Will most likely be the tires to run.
