At a local hobby store, there is a 1969 Boss 302 in full on Trans Am guise made by Welly. I took a good look at it today as the store is having a 20% off sale. I don't know much about Welly and was hoping to hear from people who have purchased Welly as to the quality of their products. The price before the discount is $130.00. Does that sound expensive for the brand? I know already that this particular store marks stuff up from the get go.

hi plankowner welly is a pretty good quality for the price ,my husband said the car your talking about seems high priced he only paid in the 50.00 dollar range u.s. for that type of car and a regular 1.18 scale mustang was in the 25.00 dollar range the only car he can think of would be a lane mustang which might be in the 100.dollar range .i myself have a few 1.60 and 1.32 and 1.43 scale cars and i think they are nice for the price .
he said check out their web site for a list of dealers and you will see the car cheaper than 130.u.s.

Those Welly Mustang race cars are much higher detail than regular Welly cars .

The Mustangs & Cougars are pretty decent . Some older Welly reg cars are not very good .
I think its way overpriced at $130 ... If I remember correctly , the race cars were under $60 at area dealers . try tys-toys.com , he had them , might not anymore . He only has part of the inventory online . If you dont see it , email & ask .

Great info from all and much appreciated! I also checked out a couple of GMP cars that same day and to me, they seemed much better built and a bit more detailed. Don't get me wrong, the Welly Mustang was nice but not $130.00 nice. ;)

i have some welly pieces, they are nice i like em!!!:thumbsup:
