I don't know if there's much chance these kinds of kits will sell here, but figured I might as well pass along the info just in case.
My father is a garage-sale expert, and knowing that I'm interested in model kits, he grabs them whenever he sees them. I usually end up selling them because I'm not in love with vehicle kits, then using the proceeds to buy something else. What you see below is part of Dad's acquisitions (he recently dropped off roughly 50 kits of various condition), plus some duplicates I already had and one recent closet find. I thought I'd list them at a couple of forums first on their way to eBay (http://www.dpbolvw.net/click-1606754-2202639)http://www.awltovhc.com/image-1606754-2202639.
Stated shipping prices are for the Lower 48. I'll send to other areas as well but shipping prices will be adjusted as necessary. I've offered an alternative to lower the shipping prices on a few kits because the boxes are such a mess but I don't want to do that with the other kits. Payment is by U.S.-issued check or money order, or via PayPal if you spend $20 or more, counting shipping. If interested, please e-mail tpowelltrout@yahoo.com. You can also try sending me a PM but I probably won't get it as fast. Please note: This Web-based e-mail address is not the one I used in my Hobby Talk registration, so you won't be able to send me an e-mail through this forum's link.
I've taken pictures of a few of the kits and will forward them to those who request them. If a picture is available, I note this with *PIC* after the price. I'll work on making other pictures available but it might be a while. Thanks for looking.
TAMIYA
F14A TOMCAT, 1/32 scale. Box has been opened, some assembly has been done on the main body; looks like jet engines are built and there's a little paint on them. The work is done well and there's a LOT left to do. Many parts are still in the bags; instructions are included; one decal seems to have been removed, possibly applied. I think the retail price on this kit is more than $100; the least I've seen it listed for, new, is about $85. Considering the work that's been done and that I haven't done a part-by-part examination so I can't absolutely swear this kit is complete, I'm asking $25 plus $12 shipping. It's a big box.
McDONNELL-DOUGLAS F-15E STRIKE EAGLE, 1/32 scale, still in the shrinkwrapped box. Aside from a small tear in the shrink wrap, it looks good as new. $65 plus $12 shipping.
AMT/ERTL
KLINGON BATTLE CRUISER from "Star Trek: The Next Generation". Box is a mess but intact; kit is unbuilt and is mostly bagged. Some red parts aren't bagged and I doubt they ever were; most of them are on the sprue, five are rattling around the box but accounted for. Decals and instructions look good. $5 plus $8 shipping. OR, if you're willing to let me either put the kit in a smaller box or simply tape up and address the one it came in (after inserting packing material), shipping is $5.
MONOGRAM
KAZON SHIP from "Star Trek: Voyager". Still in the shrink wrap, looks good aside from a little bowing of the box. $10 plus $8 shipping. To be honest, that price might be high considering it's not a terribly popular kit, but I actually like it a lot and will consider it a sign that I should try building it myself if it doesn't sell.
POLAR LIGHTS
NX-01 ENTERPRISE from "Star Trek: Enterprise". I think this one's 1/350 scale, brand new and shrink wrapped. $25 plus $12 shipping. OR, add $10 to the price tag -- $35 plus $12 shipping -- and you can have the variant white plastic version. I only need one for myself.
