From Jayski's:

Elliott back full-time in 2006? UPDATE: Team Owner Ray Evernham wants to expand [NOTE: not want "He WILL expand"] to a third full-time Nextel Cup team next season and is pressing Bill Elliott to take the job. Elliott, who turns 50 in October, has been running part-time for Evernham this season.

UPDATE: Bill Elliott, who is semiretired from Nextel Cup racing and making only a few runs this season for Ray Evernham, says he has not decided what to do next season. "I'm just taking it a day at a time," Elliott said. "If it looks like it's a pretty good deal, I might do it. If it's not, I'm not.

That's for sure!

You know what's really scary? I honestly don't miss watching all the races. I thought I would, and I do miss Bristol, but for the most part, I get out and enjoy my Sundays now.

Last week, when Mayfield won (and Bill was running) I actually left in the middle of the race, went out for an hour or so, and came back to watch the finish. Two years ago that would be unheard of for me.

I work on customs. Sometimes I take a long cruise, but I'll be passing on that now thanks to gas prices.

I might add that as Elliott was running Michigan, I watched that race. I passed on Bristol- though I had a chance to go see it live.

I see Riggs has signed with Evernham so where does that leave Bill? Is it still a chance he'll be driving full time next year? I hope so, I miss him.
