I would like to introduce our track. I am the owner of The World of Hobbies and Games. We have an 80' x 50' carpet track. We finished resurfacing our track earlier this month. I have to thank John Foister and Roger Hasler, plus many others, who helped make it the flatest andn smoothest track I have seen(I know I am bragging.). We race Oval on Saturdays. We start racing at 5pm. I would like to invite all in the area to race. I think you will enjoy our race program. We will run open mod, 19 turn, and Stock. We also have a mini-cooper oval program for kids and new drivers.

Our store is stocked with plenty of oval supplies, both Hyperdrive and KSG. We also stock a HUGE select of the best oval tires (BSR). This is our second race season. The first was pretty good, but I am looking forward to this season, because the track is very fast. Please feel free to call the store for more details or directions. You can find us at http://www.theworldofhobbies.com

Let's go Left!

Thanks for letting me plug my track.

Well I would have to say that for oval, this track is very, very smooth. The drive line is 165 ft. This is the rubber back ozite carpet. They do have a Huge selection of tires also, but I'm not sure they (BSR) are the "BEST" for oval though!!! Tom, the owner does stock JACO tires also.

Hey all you oval guys need to come out and support this track. Tom and the crew at World of Hobbies run a great place. Tom will go out of his way to make your racing experience awesome. This track resurfacing is awesome the track is smooth. The people that race there are a great bunch of guys and are willing to help out a new guy and this is personal experience talking. So come support a great track and see just how much fun oval racing can be at The World of Hobbies and games.

Yokeman, we have not raced oval threw the summer. Late july and first of august we redid the track surface and this saturday will be the first test and tune race night to prepare for the grand opener for the fall season the saturday after labor day. I expect about 15 plus out this saturday as we are just getting the word out. Alot of guys will wait till after school starts back up.

It will be an excitment packed season to see which car, body, motor, battery, tire make dominates each class this year. So come on out and represent the manufacuter of your choice or see which one you want to run, all will be represented by some of the best in the country. If you want snowbirds practice this is the place, rubber backed ozite on wood with 16ft infield and 165ft run line.

I think we're really luckly to have a complete hobby shop with a fantastic track. Tom goes all out to show us a good time. Be sure to check his website for the forum and online results. www.theworldofhobbies.com (http://www.theworldofhobbies.com/)

from stock. Thnks Tom at WOH.

09-06-2005, 03:22 PM
So, did you guys run brushless and 19 turn, or did you combine them?

Thanks,
Todd

Kenwood
09-06-2005, 03:39 PM
Well we combined them>>>BUT >>>IMHO they need to be split up in the future..I noticed it during my runs the brushless was owning me in the corners...When they ran IB3800 plus brushless I was not very competitive.~1.5 to 2 laps off. When they ran brushless andGP3300 batteries and I ran 3800 batteries it was a pretty close match.(within a lap).as I understand it the classes will be split once the season gets rolling.. while my car was not perfect I dont believe that my setup was causing me 2 laps worth of pain..
Most that saw it agreed...I still had a blast running dont get me wrong..I will be back next week running for sure... BUT if they continue to be combined Ill go back to stock OR convince myself to buy a brushless.. :)

The track was awesome EXCEPT for some Goober sitting behind me with a pack of IB3800's venting in the pits...LOL.. Kevin have you made any headway on getting a new hefty cell????

kevjoh
09-06-2005, 07:44 PM
After some CEI (Criminal Investigating) on the matter.
I am pretty sure it was SABATOGE!! Somebody wanted
me to run only on 3cells in the 19t class. Hmmmm

Kenwood
09-06-2005, 09:29 PM
LOL...

You dont happen to have an extra set of needle nose pliers in your box do you??? I had a wierd one....I had a nice set of crapsman pliers in my box...when I get home there are 4 crapsman and 1 chinese cheapo set of needle nose in my box...Im wondering if I left the good ones in your pit or in caseys pit by mistake and picked up the wrong ones.. I think the same mysterious battery sabotage person is also going around swapping american tools and replacing them with chinese ripoffs..LOL

kevjoh
09-06-2005, 09:54 PM
I was wondering why all of my broken and stripped tools
suddenly fixed themselves-That might explain that. Couldnt
sleep Sat. night thinking about the miracle with the tools.

Kenwood
09-06-2005, 11:18 PM
geeze man if your gonna play the walnut shell game with my tools the pliers was the cheap stuff.. I have a lot nicer more expensive tools in my box...LOL
