Sorry, had to reorganize my collection and then there is always the work thing...

Today's feature car is a 1949 Mercury Fire Chief's Car from the 4" series. This model was also available as a Plain Jane Mercury Custom, which would customize into a great lead sled. Made from 1953 - 1960.

How'd you like to have to change the tires on that car?

that merc is in nice shape .would be interesting making a right or left turn with the front fender skirts ,but then in those days kids played with the cars .pushed them and turned them any way they wanted .with all the vroooom sounds they could make l.o.l.
the cars were simple and and so was being a kid .

Forgot to say that is a repaint. Did it a little different on that one, I also sprayed it with Polyurethane, hard to scatch that one.
