I am having some major gear problems with my 18mt. It was doing that grinding sound whenever I would accelerate fast or go from reverse to forward a bit fast, so I called AE and they sent me a new gear and more shims for the rear diff. Stock it comes with 2. So far I have added 4 to each diff. so overall there is 6 shims in each diff. Way too many I would expect, I am going to call them tomorrow, but what do you guys think? I don't want to add any more shims because I know 6 is already way too many and my gears would be waaay to tight.

you need to get the BRP shim kit for the gears. this is a common problem in the 18T and is easily fixed with the shim kit go to www.brpracing.com or check your local hobby shop
