I recently purchased this car for my son to run stock sedan, but the car has been upgraded with a one-way pulley on the middle shaft, & this shaft is different from what the online manual calls for. The stock shaft is #72280, & has been discontinued, although you can still get the gear/pulleys for it. I either need to find someone willing to sell me a #72280 that's laying in their box, or find out what the upgraded shaft # is. I have called HPI, & all they can tell me is that #72280 is discontinued!! Someone please help!! The upgraded shaft presently on the car has male threads on the right side, while the stock shaft has female threads on that end. Any HPI guys willing to help me out here?

I run an old RS4 Pro & have run into the same kind of problem. There is a guy that sells "vintage" car parts on ebay. He had some of the parts I needed, maybe he has yours ??? His seller ID is camielppa . Hope this helps!!!

Get rid of it, you will never be able to spend enough money to make a Pro 3 a good car.

Had I known that HPI was so poor on their parts supply I would've never gotten the car. It is a nice car for my 9 year old to get into sedan racing to see if he likes it, but I guarantee you that I will never, ever, buy anything HPI again!! BTW, HPI emailed me a couple of days after my post here, & said that the part isn't discontinued, but back-ordered, & may be a month before they see any. So all hope isn't lost yet!!!
