I sent this person a bank check a month ago for a Hyperdrive gas set up. I have not received the car. I have left countless messages. He has hung up on me 3 times as soon as I tell him who I am. Can anyone tell me what my rights are, what can I do to recover my money?

Go To Your Post Office And Local Police Station And Give Them The Address For The Gas Man And His Phone Number. They Can At Least Look Inot Tit For You. I Had Heard From Another Poster That He Was Able To Recover His Money And Equipment By Contacting The Authorities.

Thanks to all that posted and sent me emails. I went to the local authorities, they have filled felony charges against him. I don't know if I'll ever recover my money, but maybe it will slow him down a little.
Thanks,

Just a little heads up.Next time ship payment via ups insured. If person has not shipped item contact ups will have signature to prove he/she recieved it.File a claim for the package sent(money order, check etc).for the amount sent.

Now I don't know how much this will help in this situation but for further instances I have had good success with using fedex if you set up an account with them which costs nothing you can send packages c.o.d. and request a guaranteed funds which is cashiers check or money order and that way both parties don't have the chance to get severly screwed because if they don't pay the item will not be delivered and you are only out the money for shipping and not the price or worth of the item.Fedex will ship it back to you or send you the cashiers check or money order.

Hope this helps for the future
