lolo123 08-17-2005, 07:18 AM AWESOME!!! THANKS!!! will give it a whirl when i get home :freak:
oddworld 08-17-2005, 12:59 PM I'm no expert but here it goes:
Take a Dremel Tool with a cutting wheel and cut out the Plastic Wheel Wells on the frame.
Then with an xacto knife cut off the top of the tires leaving a lip of rubber tire around the top of the rim so the tires will still have something to hold them on.
Then put the Plastic frame back into the body and put a tire on one front & one back rim.
Take some white paint and put paint on the back side of the rim right where the axel goes and insert it up into the body of the car and when it is in the right place press it onto the plastic frame marking where to drill the axel holes.
Do front and back this same way and you should have it.
If any of this makes any sense? Good Luck !!
gooberspad 08-17-2005, 09:03 PM  Oddworld says it perfectly! Thats all there is to it. You can slam any of the cars by doing this. Just on some cars you cant slam them real low without some other more extreme mods. Overall, the slamming process is simple, give it a shot....be sure to post a few pics when you get it done too! Have fun.............
lolo123 08-18-2005, 07:11 AM i took the cuda apart to look at it, AND I'M SCARED!!! I'll probably try a camaro first cuz i know where i can get another one if i screw it up!
thanks for all the help, tho. it really doesn't look too tough!?!
Lightningrick 08-19-2005, 12:00 PM May have to try.
gremlin 08-19-2005, 03:37 PM I just can`t bring myself to cutting my cars up. :( If I could get ahold of one that was broken in some way maybe then I would do it.
oddworld 08-19-2005, 04:42 PM Come on gremlin, It's only a $20. car and you have nothing to lose, except one of your cars.
Leave them stock if it will make you sleep better.
I just like them slammed myself.
TX Street Racer 09-05-2005, 12:14 PM Hey guys, is there any way to lower one of those MM cars without butchering the tires and wheels???? I'd like to lower one and still be able to have it roll
lolo123 09-09-2005, 08:22 AM i actually did a mustang instead of the cuda... at first i took off the wheel wells and drilled a new hole for the axle and tried to put it back together w/o butchering the tires so i can always return it back to stock later, but you can't lower it enough to make a difference... so away went part of the tires :freak:
wasn't hard at all, but yeah, it will never roll the same
gooberspad 09-09-2005, 10:57 PM AWW....WHAT DO YOU NEED THEM TO ROLL FOR ANYWAYS! I DONT KNOW ABOUT YOU GUYS, BUT MY CARS JUST SIT ON THE SHELVES ANYWAYS, NOT LIKE I WOULD ROLL THEM AROUND AND MAKE ENGINE NOISES ON THE FLOOR. BUT THATS JUST ME...MAYBE SOME GUYS DO PLAY WITH THEIR TOYS  POINT IS, CUT TIRES OR NOT CUT....STILL SITS THE SAME ON THE SHELVES :)
Just my 2 cents.....

Eh, ok, call me anal......but I expect all of my diecast customs to roll......after all, it is a car...and cars roll :p
I've done a ton of 1/64 diecast customs and sometimes the hard part is making sure the cars still function and roll........sure it'd be easier sometimes to just make the cars a static display that doesn't move.....but that's too easy.
gooberspad 09-11-2005, 01:41 PM No I totally agree, it would be cool if the cars could still roll. Only thing is, with Muscle Machines....you just cant slam them and still have them roll. Just no way to do it. You might be able to lower them just a hair and still roll, but not enough to make a difference. Maybe if you replce the wheels with much smaller ones off another brand of diecast you can lower it a little more, but otherwise they way MM cars are made, just cant be done to keep them rolling. Cant really compare them to hot wheels or anything else, they are much different.
Hope this helps you understand. I wish they could still roll too, would be much nicer. But oh well, lifes not perfect.

well my 1 1/2 yr old son and i were rolling them back and forth, until he decided to try and pick it up and drop it on his foot... so now it will stay on the shelf so there is no need for it to roll ;)

YUP .... have to agree with you on this one ....
is like owning a real 1:1 (any car) but it wont turn on because i took the engine off or because the tires are fake or something .... a car is ment for rolling .... even the replicas or the ones at many car museums are regularly rolled out to ensure they're running properly ....
gooberspad 09-13-2005, 10:01 PM  Thats fine you guys...you can keep your high in the cars rolling, I just prefer them to look cool, and they look much cooler lowered down to the ground. Makes them look alot more aggressive I think, but we all have our own opinions, so just enjoy the cars we love which ever way we like them best. Like real cars, some of us like honda rice burner peices, while others of us prefer true american muscle power chevelles and such!
Not trying to start a big argument, but if it happnes, RIGHT ON!! LOL...
