Hi folks,
sorry if youīve seen this thread already on HOWL list today, but as I donīt think everybody hereīs receiving those eMail news I hope you enjoy this posting at least a little... ;-)
After more than 4 rather quiet months Iīm glad to finally be able to present some ResiNews again! :-)
A friend of mine came along with a vintage Rasant BMW some weeks ago and asked me if it was possible to reproduce and adapt this body for T-Jet racing.
Yepp, it was! :-)
The wheelbase is just perfect (LWB), the only minor problem was that I didnīt want to ruin the nice mold master (itīs one of the pricier Rasant cars...). So I had to take silicone molds of the vintage body first (painted metal diecast), mount screwposts into the first resin cast and then pour a final inside ("male") mold half.
The BMW 2000 was not only a quite common family car 35+ years ago, but she was (and still is) also a popular car for touring car racing over here - so my first 3 finished cars look like this:
A street car:

*Errr* If anybodyīs interested in a kit or even a finished body, please contact me off the list. I spent my last bit of mold making silicone on this project and I need another batch of NOS chassis as well. But of course Iīm still openminded to any kind of trading, too! Thanks! :-)
Best regards and greetings from Germany,
Claus
