:freak: OK, she did fine since my last contact with you guys and you really helped me out alot. However, I'm back with more troubles and getting deeper as I go. It all started about a week ago when I was finishing up cutting for the day when she went into a fly to the moon idle. I immediatly turn her off before she blew a gasket. Puzzled by this I had to start her back up to see what would happen. WIDE OPEN SHE WENT LIKE A BUNCH SAILORS ON ONE DAY LEAVE AFTER SIX WEEKS OUT! I try to idle her down with the throttle control long enough to get back to my shed. The next day at work I was talking it over with a few friends and all agreed that the gov.spring broke off. Sounded good to me until I tried to find it. Well , I don't really know where it is or where to hook it up at. Not only that she wont start back up for me. Should I take her in for a real service or shoot her?

right there, where the throttle cable goes. you'll see a arm connected right there, should be easy since its fairly new and not caked with oil/dirt/grass/other things around it. spring connects to the arm, and around there where the cable goes.....small engine shop should be able to help you. no 30/30...... now....

Or........ it could be the internal part of the govenor, if the spring is on there. If you take the crank case apart you will find a gear that runs the gov. it uses centrifical fource and some times that gear and the spool will get messed up I have had it happen a few times on diffrent motors. I am not shir if thats the problem but it certainly could be.
