Heath,

Is that right, racing doesn't start until 2pm on Sunday? That will make it pretty late for the guys that have to travel.

Thanks,
Tim

Yes - you are correct about the time so it has been changed to 12:00 noon.

Thanks for your input and I hope you and your father have been having a great summer.

One thing is that the turnout for the sos could be bigger then the summer series which makes the day go longer as well having the race on Sunday, which is the better day still people need to get up for work on Monday. Just something to think about Mike

Jeesh, I don't remember getting out too late last year, did you use the same format??? I really enjoyed last years SOS race, but it seems to me like we started eariler.
It's going to take at least 6 hours to run the program, and I don't remember getting home after midnight last year.

Well, time will tell.

As someone who has to travel I know it takes me almost 3 hrs to get home with traffic......I also have to be at work at 5:30Am Mon. Morning.....Last year I did not get home till about 9:00PM......I believe that was Heaths 1st event.......Since that time Heath has done a good job keeping the show moving......So Im sure the get home time will improve for all those travelling......As long as the heats go out at specific times and we stick to those times......I doubt well have any problems....Looking forward to this series

Oh, is there any possibility we could use the same handout motor for all the races? Like impound them after the race for the next event? Barre does this and it works really good. Thanks.

Handout stock motors are the ONLY way to level the field in the motor department.. the trick is to A. hand out a motor, and allow then for weekly racing, and B. make sure te handout is up to today's spec's so it will remain to be competitive, so people will still be able to run them wekly at no disadvantage.

No bad point to handing them out, providing those 2 guidelines are met.

bojo

yes tommy he will take them after the race so you only have to buy one motor for all three races's

Mike ther's an econo lodge that's about 10 minutes or less from teh track, about as cheap as I think that you will find.... it was the cheapest place we found all summer... and none of the hotels were really cheap by any means.

Heath,

It's 10:30am, you said you wouldn't be in until 11:00am, so how did you sell the big voltage cells aready? What did these guys call you at home or what?

Hope to see you next Saturday,
Tim

You realize your talking about a difference of (one one thousandth) of (1 volt) = 0.001 volts as being a big voltage cell.

PUF19
09-14-2005, 11:36 AM
Tim the BAT is correct. You will not see/feel any diff between 1.185 and 1.189.
Setup is the most improtant part anyway.... you could have 1.20 cells, if the setup
is not rite, it will not even matter...

Guys, I understand that. I just thought it was funny (LOL), that at 10:30am all of the cells with the highest voltages were already gone when he doesn't open until 11:00am.

So come on fess up who's calling Heath at home? Or was it a Jedi mind trick or "ESPN or something" (I know it's ESP, the quote from the movie was "I think I have ESPN or something". Maybe it wasn't really funny since I felt like I had to explain it!)

Hope to see all of you soon,
Tim

puff19 i disagree with you i remember the nats chris doseck ran the nats at kn in mod 1/10 his car was pyle of crap (words straight out of the mouth of fuime)but since he had voltage he laped the field but lost due to johnny themilis forgetting to put a transponder in his car

I don't know if that formula is true as it used to be.I think 4 cell has made chassis setup much more critical then voltage at most tracks.
