6 hp Lawnmower

Hard to start finally died. Replaced spark plug, air filter and gas, no start. Tested spark-not seeing any. Put a teaspoon of gas in cylinder and no sputter, no nothing.

Replaced coil with Taiwanese replacement. Still no spark. Any ideas?

Also, the new coil came with a ground wire with two leads. One obviously replaces the original, where does #2 go?

make sure ( this side out ) is out. that replacement may be very well bad, if all checks out, proper plug gap (.30) proper coil gap (dollar bill to check) the coils on right, and if all else, leave the kill wire off.

i would guess the 2nd wire is there for mowers like snappers that have saftey switches on them. but as bugman says leave it disconnected and try it. also make sure the coil isnt mounted upside down. :thumbsup:
