might be interested been hammered with alot of personal headaches lately causeing us to put racing on the shelf.its a day to day issue and never know when we'll be there hope to see all you guys real soon we miss the track.

I'm done following, give us something where we can lead for a while. My ears are open. Anything to get the crowds back in.

has anyone given a thought to having a fall racing series at K/N since i dont think anyone has 1 going yet?that could get people dialed in and ready for the Winterblast plus any fall trophy races in between the series.summer series is always hard between family things and the HEAT but the fall could be something to think on.and i wanna ask like rc5150 what is Stock-A-Fied??????john

How about a fall oval series on the third saturday of each month. a Modified series.Maybe one in october one in november and one december 10nth.

Like always giving up real info to sound cute!! If anyone thinks about it Stock-a-fied usually denoted that someone was cheating in the stock class with what was felt to be a not so truly stock motor. Maybe instead of sounding cute and possably misleading might be a good thing at this time in KN's life. Now are we talking about the all stock race at KN that Chad has talked about or is someone trying to ask the other question about all of us just running only stock this season to see if we can get the numbers back up? Well let's see, It is a stock only weekend. Since it is the biggest class to race at the blast, throwing a race for this class only makes sense. Yes I agree it is a cute name, I kinda like it. Might be the reason I named it that. All that aside, as many of you know, setup at K/N is always key. If anyone wants a general setup, just ask. I am planning on running a hand out, I am waiting for the call back, but it will be either a trinity revenge of the monster stock handout(purple endbell) or the epic stock handout. I will have and post that by the end of the day. $50 entry. Chad if you could please use a ROAR legal motor, so we could use them at other tracks
as well, the purple motor is not legal as you know.It really helps the guys that race at many tracks, I have herd if drivers complaining about motors that can ONLY be used at certin tracks....

No take over.It's just that chad has limited availabilty to a computer at the moment.Anything up to 3800's will be allowed.

Puf the s.o.s. is the week before and ffld maine is the week after.You just have to choose what to run i guess.I doubt i could make all 3 races but if i pick and choose it would always be banked over flat.I'll ask if he want's to change the date but that date was posted as the Fall Final last year he just changed the name and adjusted the format.I'll also check on the batteries. At this point, most of the other tracks have posted there race schedule, So K&N needs to plan around other posted races, IF we want to see a crowd @ K&N.
S.O.S 9/24-25 will see 50 drivers, ffld Maine 9/9/ will see close to the same.
Barre 11/5-6 will see almost 70! Maxx Winter Warmup 12/17-18,
Barre NewYears bash 1/7-8 Barre March Meltdown 3/4-5.(3 race series)

This is what is already on my race calender, with proper planning no
one has to choose where,rather just add another race to the calender....
and for the guys that say those track are 3 and 4 states away, the OVAL crowd
does travel, dont kid yourselfs!!!

Here is Fairfield Maine dates...These dates were posted last year from me....

Oct 8th & 9th 2005 Saturday practice and racing Sunday...
Feburary 25th & 26th 2006 Saturday practice and racing Sunday...
April 8th & 9th 2006 Saturday practice and racing Sunday....

There is a trophy race in Sept 24th & 25th 2005 in York Maine and then in Oct 2nd 2005 at K/N and then another trophy race one week later in Fairfield Maine...Thats three trophy races within three weeks..Something wrong there...

i dont have the money to run 3 trophy races in 3 weeks. guess i'm gonna have to decide which way to go

I'm still trying to figure it out though ? Some guys have to drive 4 to 5 hrs to race and hate it because theres nothing local.But you guys have 2 places local (within 1 to 1 1/2 hrs) to race yet you dont want to go there ? Whats the draw at these other places ? York is no better then Madness and you know i love banked tracks but ffld maine isnt half the track k & n is and barre is a barn.Whats the deal ? What draws people there ? Are people still willing to travel with gas approaching 3 bucks a gallon ? You say you want handouts that you can run anywhere so you got it.You want decent door prizes you got that.What is it ? Why is there so much hate for these local tracks ?

And one more thing i've had the date for the fall final marked on my calender since sometime near the begining of the year i'm not sure when it was posted on the website but it's been on there for a while.And the only thing that changed was the name to make it more enticing.It's not like this date was pulled from thin air.

i'll be there and probably pedone will also.love to be more supportive of the tracks but with a son whos going thru hell this year and od'd this week on pills my mind is NOT on this sport. I WILL be back soon hope to see everyone at K/N or where ever we can run.

Well put Bat, I enjoy making a trip to other tracks too, but not at the price of loosing the my local track to do it. There are a limited number of weekends available to schedule races during the quote un-quote, oval season, then throw in most of your holidays fall in that time frame too. Now have six or seven tracks making a schedule and you run out of weekends very quick.
Those of us that call K&N our home track do a very good job of supporting the other tracks in the northeast, but we don't get the support in return from them. If we had the support from them that we give, all races at K&N would have 50 to 75 racers also.
I will continue to make a few trips to a couple tracks this season, but my priority will be to attend K&N first. Bill B

This is one of the biggest problems but there are lots of others.We know the marketing of this track hasn't been the best lately and were going to try to change that.I've been racing here since it had square corners and i'd hate to see a track with this much R/C history just close it's doors and i'll do what i can to try and prevent it.

BIll, you are 100% correct and I will be throwing my support at K/N for the remainder of the summer and the new season to come.

Pedone and I were at the track most of the day, had alot of fun, threw the cars on the computer and pedone ran a fast 50 in this heat. I was 49 flat. We had a ball.

We are planning on next sunday as well if you are intrested.

Puf, you know as well I I do that 50 is very fast when its pushing 90 degrees in that place, and the humidity was off the charts.

Same as you guys 2.25-2.30 for a monster.

ok i thought maybe when they said their motors were coming off super hot, they might have missed the gear, but 2.25-2.30 should work.

This track gets a little warmer then classic it's in the upstairs of a building more like an attic.But you can still run a 52 in the heat.Come on pedone stop sandbagging.:)

If all goes well I'll make an appearance this Sunday, have a car I can run stock with, might as well use up the 3300's I have since they will be obsolete soon. Maybe we can push you guys to running a little faster.

Looks like SEPTEMBER 01 2005 for the new batteries up to 3800mah nimh.And they are legal for the upcoming race.I'll let you know if theres any changes. MZ
