Don't know if anybody would be interested here but thought I'd post that on Saturday August 20th we will be at the McKean County Fair (Smethport, Pa.) for the yearly trip around their oval. The track is located just off turn 4 of the full scale track and there is even a "makeshift" off road in the center for the air guys to get their groove on. :)
Classes are as follows:
Production - beginner class, usually made up of Radio Shack cars
2wd stock - buggies/purpose built oval cars - stock motor, 6 cell pack
2wd modified - same as 2wd stock - open motor and battery
Stock truck - trucks/purpose built oval trucks - stock motors, 6 cell pack
Mod truck - same as Stock truck - open motor and battery
Off road - anything you want to run from a Mini-T to a Monster truck
Entry fees:
$2.00 first class
$2.50 for two
$3.50 for three
$4.50 for four
Payout each class:
$10.00 - 1st
$8.00 - 2nd
$6.00 - 3rd
$4.00 - 4th
$2.00 - 5th
There is a $8.00 entry fee to get onto the Fair grounds. You will need to enter the Fair grounds at the second entrance on RT 46 and tell them you are going to the R/C races. They will ask for your $8 per person which covers entry into the Fair so you can ride the rides while you're there as well as get all kinds of good food. This isn't a foam track so you'll need some mini pins of some brand. It's always a good time and plenty of people stop by to watch. Any other info, just post and I'll get it up here.
