Hello fellow drag racers. The club I belong to San Antonio Model Drag Racing League hosts races every Saturday at LiteSpeed Raceway. This is a new permanent facility that will be hosting national level events in the near future. I've been into dragracing almost a year now. Gave up all my other racing activities to concentrate on drag racing. I have a litespeed chassis on my top fuel rail a GMS electric funny car and a 200mm tc based nitro drag truck. If any of you get to texas be sure and check out the track. We will be racing every weekend except thanksgiving and christmas until the end of the year. Schedules classes, photos and weekly winners are all at the website www.sadragracing.com. Its nice to find drag racing threads on forums now. Used to there were only a handful now I see more and more. The sport keeps growing because its inexpensive compared to other forms of R/C, you can win in bracket with pretty much any car you drag down to the track, and the relaxed atmosphere and fun factor at the tracks is a breath of fresh air to those tired of the usual track stuff. No marshalling either. Makes it a lot more fun for us old guys.

I will continue to visit your site for updates on your racing and race program.

Looks like we'll kick off 2006 on Jan 7th. Looks like it will be a good year for us. The recent cable programs from 311 raceway really seems to have kicked up the interest level a bit. I've got a electric funny car now also. We get to run pretty much all year here. The only thing that makes up for the heat in summer :) One of our guys won top fuel at the Worlds. Litespeed is coming out with some new cars soon. I'm itching to get a novarossi plus 21-3c motor in my rail. They look to be the powerhouse with the 14.5mm crank. Lots more room for nitro in that crank.
