The Ovalmasters presented by Hyperdrive is scheduled for November 18-20,2005. Many,Many thanks go out to all the great sponsors for this race. Their involvement will help us put on the best event possible.

Classes,rules,and logging information have all been updated on our website at www.ovalmasters.com (http://www.ovalmasters.com/) along with the entry form. The new CRC carpet has been ordered and should be here within a couple of weeks.

Ken "Scarecrow" Holmes will be on hand to run the event. We are really happy that Scarecrow has agreed to do this race. We have commitments from Team Hyperdrive,KSG,Coustom Works,Sliva Concepts,and RIP to be at the event and with some of these teams best drivers gunning for $500.00 winners purse in 6cell Factory Mod it should be a great event to be a part of.

Another cool aspect to this race is everyone making the A main in Stock, 19T, Mod, 1/12th and 6 cell mod will all get points for the Chassis Manufacturer.

So not only will the winning racers get crowned the Oval Master but the manuf can get bragging rights too !!!

Please say that there will not be any qualifying on Firday! That will be the first day that I can get there. This should be one awsome race.

The track is scheduled to reopen on October 8th and will race our normal weekly schedule.

Monti...Not sure yet. I may schedule one round on Friday evening and do the other three on Saturday.

I'm going to be in Atlanta that week. Might need to stay and attend the race.

Word going around is that this is gonna be the 2nd biggest oval event behind the Snowbirds this year.

I hope so, Sandhills deserves a turnout like that. Nicest indoor facility I have ever raced at. Fabio, Danio, Mike and crew always put on a stellar event, I don't expect this one to be any different.

CRC says the carpet has been shipped but has not arrived yet. Hope to have it installed by early September.

It is too bad you scheduled this race couple days before one of the largest carpet onroad races in the country.

I would love to try Sandhills, but with me running both onroad and oval, the US Indoor champs is more important.

What size spur gear should you use for stock or it doesn't matter.
Since it's new carpet my questions will be answered when the racing starts.

I ran 46 laps with both a 98 and a 112. Didn't see any difference between the 2 to be honest

Tire tested on the new carpet yesterday. Right now on new carpet the car was best on Black and Gray fronts and white and Pearl rears. Five Mod runs on one set of tires with NO measureable tire wear using Paragon Ground Effects(Hyperdrive Pro3 Car).

The schedule is still tentative and I need to go over it with Scarecrow this week. It looks like one qualifier on Friday and three on Saturday. That could change based on the number of entries but that's what we are looking at right now.

We have shut the offroad track down a few weeks early so we are moving the schedule up a couple of weeks. The first scheduled race is now on September 24th instead of October 8th. Track will open at 9am and racing starts at 4pm.

Mike is there going to be a warm up race? also, is there going to be any 6 cell at the weekly club races leading up to the Manu. Cup?

No warmup race. I'm gonna try and keep track conditions at the club race level until the race. That way when the track grooves up.no one will really know how it's going to react with this carpet. That worked well last year for the nats on new carpet and the locals had less of an advantage.

Honeycutt has his 6cell car ready and I'm working on mine so we should be able to run 6cell.

Entries are already coming in. We have plenty of pit space but the track side pits are limited. The only way to insure you get one is to get your entry in. I cannot reserve a pit without an entry form in hand.

I know we talked about this one before, but any plans to keep an updated entry list on the website, like the Birds do? Try and get the hype going.

If its a hassle to update the site maybe just posting the names on here every week or so would work too.
