Tired of living that humdrum life?
Always bashing instead of creating?
Constantly writing checks with your Lion mouth, that your Tweety bird ass can't cash?

What a pathetic excuse for a contest! Talk about a limited audience and zero budgets! There's no way in the world I'd enter such a farce of a contest!
Who decides what kind of contests they have there on syfy anyway  He makes Berman and Braga look like geniuses!
Good grief! How can Trumball lower himself to judge those entries? Imagine all the crap he'll have to sit through! Personally, though I'm more than capable--and, believe me, they'd be extremely lucky to have someone like me judging--I couldn't bear doing it! I think I'd throw up or fall asleep after the first half dozen.

yeah there will be a lot of crap, but just where do you think that edlund, harryhausen, skotak, and about all the guys that worked on the first star wars film, the guys that now are the head honchos off all the big fx houses, came from? they were all amatuers at one time, making little movies in their basements.
its nice to see a contest where they wont be stigmatised because of the genre. (besides, if youve seen the dvd of the winners of the fangoria contest, it can only go up from there.)

Actually, that's quite a nice prize for an aspiring filmmaker. A friend of mine publishes "Scr(i)pt" magazine, and from what I gather there are plenty of people out there who wil go to great lengths to pitch an idea.
Hmm...A giant ape on an island? nope.
A big shark feasting on New Englanders? Well...
Young boy turns dark overlord?...
Howzabout New Englanders feasting on a small dark ape-boy? Bingo!
