Got it running and now when I put gas in the tank, it just runs out of the carb from someplace I cannot see. It is like something is stuck open and just allowing the fuel to run and then run out or leak from someplace on the carb.
Runs out at a pretty good rate. I can get it started but it will not run at a fast speed and the gas just runs out of it.
Any ideas of a quick fix before I take it to the shop again?

make sure the bowl is on tight, and the bowl nut is on tight, messed up gaskets will allow em to leak, as well, the float may have hung up, allowing fuel to run out.

Couple of Questions:
1. Would putting in a carb kit maybe fix this problem?
2. Does a float come in the carb kit?
3. How difficult is it for a novice to install the kit?
4. Any other advice would be appreciated... :dude:

a carb kit, most likely not or if at all. the float may be sticking, which can be solved easy, by working it up and down and the float pin in and out a few times most of the time loosens em up, a carb kit.....the main thing is, make sure the float is good. if it isn't i just buy it separately, then a gasket kit, as for ease of doing it yourself, follow the way it goes together, from taking it apart, then reverse the teardown and put it together.

Alot of carburators have an overflow vent, most times its on the engine side of the carburator just before where the carburator connects to the intake manifold. This is to prevent a flooding carburator from flooding the crankcase with gas. If your seals seems to be ok. It is leaking from here. If your keeping your engine level and the carburator still floods its because the float needs adjusting.

Okay, pulled the carb off, expecting to have to replace the float, etc. Looked at it and the rubber gasket on the bowl was kinked when I put it on and I could not see it because it was on the engine side. I took of the tank, cleaned it out, bought another rubber bowl gasket ($1), came home and put it all back together.
Primed it, and it started on the 3rd pull. Eureka....it is not leaking anymore and has started on the first pull 3 times in the last 2 hours.
Thanks folks, you guys are great  :dude:
