This series was contracted by Tootisetoy to Lone Star Company in England to produce american cars to compete with Dinky Toys. They were only made from 1960 - 1961, Three of the ones shown here are Tootsietoys, the 1960 Caddy, 1960 Corvair and the 1960 Rambler Wagon. the fourth car is a Lone Star release or a Dodge Dart Phoenix. Also included in the Tootsietoy series were a 1960 Dodge Polara and a 1960 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible. They are 1/50 scale.

Notice the early attempt at a White Lightining on the Lone Star release? Most of the Lone Star Roadmaster series came with white tires.

Did you know that originally all tires were white? Rubber is white, not black, they actually add something (carbon?) to the rubber to make it black.
