Atencio 07-26-2005, 02:42 AM One of my favorite lines. Series B ever gonna hit the U.S. ?
realmz1 07-26-2005, 05:38 AM I really don't know....I hear about licensing issues and marketing issues...and a lot of stores don't wanna carry mm's due to low sales....that's why I ordered some.from japan and a good guy I know went to japan grabbed a set for me...
streaker 07-26-2005, 08:47 AM How can we order these ?
realmz1 07-26-2005, 06:02 PM they are pricey from japan...shipping is a killer....but if you wanna check um out...
go to i-modelcar.com and look for them under tamiya
streaker 07-29-2005, 01:27 PM These cars are at my Target store :)
Atencio 07-29-2005, 04:44 PM Sure it's not series A? Same cars, different paint scheme. Would be cool if they were here.
realmz1 07-29-2005, 06:50 PM they are NOT the same cars...

Fast Eddie 07-30-2005, 04:52 PM aren't those the tamiya versions? Love those NSXs!
realmz1 07-30-2005, 05:47 PM they are Muscle Machine's but they are distributed by tamiya in japan...
Fast Eddie 08-03-2005, 04:50 PM I saw those a few months back, on one of the Asian webshops. so there is a chance that MM will not release these here? Cause I hate payin' those inflated prices, and the shipping charges!
realmz1 08-04-2005, 08:41 AM good chance is right...I have heard several rumors and verified a few that MM lost a few designers...and those few designers were the ones with the JGTC project....expect not to see the last 1:64 jgtc in the states and hope to catch a 1;24 cerumo supra as that probably will be the last 1;24...I am hoping they keep this project going but I fear there won't be anyone there that will want to push for it to continue.
gremlin 08-04-2005, 11:08 AM I guess they don`t believe in " if you build it, they will buy it." realmz1 keep digging buddy, somebodys got to be listening.
realmz1 08-05-2005, 09:11 AM I dunno gremlin preaching Japanese racing to ACTION is like trying to sing to a deaf person....
gremlin 08-05-2005, 10:49 AM If JL can make Monopoly & Clue crap(my opinion) and people buy it, then why not Japanese racing. There has to be a market for it. those that scout the market, have to take the blinders off.
Fast Eddie 08-05-2005, 02:07 PM I am thinking there is a market within the US for these cars, am I wrong. Wave A seems to have done rather well in my neck of the woods(I have watched target restock the supply quite a few times). And what is interesting is that TRUS and Target no longer sell the traditional Muscle machines any more. What is up with the distribution, haven't seen any at Walmart either. Hotwheels must have a lot of influence, as retailers only designate so much space to diecast, they have the lions share, and therefore are shutting out access to other brands.
realmz1 08-05-2005, 03:55 PM With Your Distribution Question Eddie....no Walmarts / Kmarts Or Other Retailers Will Carry Them A. For The Reason That Mm's Bombed In There Sales Performance With That Jesse James Crap No One Wnated To Keep Carrying Them. And B. Some Stores Kept Their "blinders" On Thinking Nah Japanese Racing Won't Sell In Our Region. And With The Leg Work It Takes To License The Jgtc Cars The Barrier Of Language And Ton Of Sponsors On Each Car (can Easily Get Into The 100's If You Figure Each Name On The Invidual Car Has To Be Licensed) And That Takes Alot Of Work Which Most People Aren't Capable Of Handling...
Fast Eddie 08-07-2005, 03:03 PM Oh well, I'll get them eventually, will have to pay the shipping costs. Just got a couple of kyosho Porsches from the minicar collection, a 904 and a 906, both are beautiful!
realmz1 08-07-2005, 04:47 PM I bought some Kyosho 1:64 Bead Collection Skylines from japan a few months ago...$15 a piece plus shippinjg...ouch...but tamiya is also doing up the JGTC skylines in 1:24...but they are upwards of $80 a piece....will get them but a little saiving has to be done...heh
