First of all I know absolutely nothing about slot cars. So I hope I won't get ripped to bad over here!
I acquired a looks to be early 60's Eldon Daytona Beach Detroit Stock Car Race Set in box with insruction manual and other paper work. Everything seems to be there including lap counter, fences, powerpack etc. 3 car bodies,1 chassis, numerous tires, wheels, axles etc. Controllers are there but have been taken apart. My question is,are there still people out there that may need or use something like this? I am a diecast guy and don't really have a use for it.

hi Racer48,
well you have a nice set there, the track peices themselves are plentiful. but could be of use to someone building a vintage race set. the Eldon set I beleive is limited to 2 lanes. as i don`t think they produced a inside turn radius. however depending on what bodies you have there you may have something. camaro-mustang-cuda-charger in good condition are the most collected and sought after by many of the racers/collectors today.

The set is prior to the Muscle cars you listed. The bodys seem to be 1961-62 Impala and T-Bird. The box also shows a 61-62 Dodge or Plymouth but is is missing from set. Thanks for info.

Even though the set you have is pretty common the cars are still desireable. The Eldon American muscle cars are probably the most popular out of all the Eldon 1/32 slot cars.

Yes I am interested in the cars if you want to sell them (or trade?). The track, controllers, etc you can keep. I am the owner/moderator of a Yahoo Group just for Eldon slot cars:
