The TRUTH is buy what your LHS stocks part for unless your plannign on buying spares when you order you new car. If you are planning ahead like that, then any car from almost any manufacturer is a good choice. For a crossover chassis it's about the same story. A car from ANY manufacturer is cable of putting you up front and being consistant today. But I am sure that there are those that will debate such things.
