I am seeing black rims on some 1/24th scales cars like this Chevelle. Have any of you seen these rims? I wonder if guys are taking rims from other cars and slapping them on the BTM cars. They look pretty sweet....

I saw a white Camaro with black stripes and black rims, he said it was hard to find, "rare". The pic looked the same too. Out of the box but on the stand. Makes me curious. reekman 07-15-2005, 06:24 PM Guys I sell alot of jada and I've yet to come accross one of those shown with black rims............. This cat is painting them I bet.......... Trying to rape the collector............. Hey where's my Black Sharpie!..................... You want Black Chrome?........... Got ya covered........ 2003GAGT 07-15-2005, 08:36 PM I guess thats the same as people on ebay putting box setted cars in regular boxed and calling them rare paint jobs. nobueno 07-16-2005, 09:47 PM Yup like Reekman said it's a scalper trying to fool collectors... Jae 2003GAGT 07-18-2005, 10:01 PM I was reading through all of his cars on ebay. He has done a lot of them, yellow rims, gold rims. If you read his feedback it looks like he has sold a few stolen phones to people too. SOMENUTJOB 09-02-2005, 09:50 AM the guy on ebay paints them, BUT*, i did manage to score a metallic orange 1;24 mustang with FACTORY black mesh wheels from a distributor. Ive also seen a metallic grey charger with the same. The box also has unique writing and such and from what ive learned, Jada made several cars with variances to just play around with the black wheels idea and gave them to varoius distrib's as promos. i also have 3 1:64 cars with the same deal, special wheels and liscense plates etc, all in factory blisters. plankowner 09-02-2005, 05:57 PM the guy on eBay paints them, BUT*, i did manage to score a metallic orange 1;24 mustang with FACTORY black mesh wheels from a distributor. I was originally referring to the first Chevelle that was on this thread. His name is twofast2004 on ebay. somehow i got the names twisted and thought you were him. Racinrulz 10-17-2005, 02:19 AM The gray GTO & Boss look sweet in the black rims. The flamed Chevelle is a way cool vary! Nice cars. JimmyJohn 10-18-2005, 06:27 PM I think the black rims kick a**. I have a black and orange '69 Camaro with some sponsor stickers and the black rims. Looks like a real road racer. It's my favorite Jada so far. Hands down. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
