I was just wondering, can you run dirt oval with a stock truck or buggy that has just been lowered? In most of the posts and track forums I have read it shows that everyone is running aftermarket kits to run dirt oval. Does anyone run stock buggies and truck?

Stock trucks are very common in the dirt oval truck classes. Stock buggies used to be quite popular, but not so much anymore. I think they are still very popular at some tracks in the mid-west, but they usually require you to use an EDM or Late Model body. It really depends on the track surface and your track's rules.

I assume that you are new to this, so my best advice would be to go to your local track and check things out. See what everyone else is running. In general, dirt oval racers are some of the easiest going racers in all of oval racing. They will answer your questions... and should be able to point you in the right direction as far as what car to get, tires to use, etc.

Also, I can tell you that if you are a newbie...even if everyone at your track has Terminators or Custom Works cars, you may want to start out in with a buggy anyway. Those conversion cars are very expensive, and are not beginners cars...heck, my Terminator kit didn't even come with instructions...you are just supposed to "know" what parts to buy and where to put them, and that comes with experience. Remember that in order to drive fast, you must first learn to drive...
