I am looking to replace my briggs 5hp engine on this homelite lr2500 generator. I am looking to find a horizontal crank engine with the pto side of the crankshaft tapered rather than keyed. Does anyone have that part number of an engine or know where I can find one?

If you get the model, type and code number off of the engine and call a small engine shop they should be able to look up the replacement engine for you.
